"Reasonable price for quality. 45 minutes to Volcano NP, so excellent location for an early start before the crowds arrive from Kona! Completely INADEQUATE PARKING for the size of hotel. One night all four small lots were full because of a wedding on site and the only legal street parking was a LONG way away with a dark walk through a worrisome neighborhood. Staff could not solve the problem and were not particularly apologetic about an obvious issue. Housekeeping staff was bare bones, but reception advised us of this issue, so no surprises and easy workarounds."

"A nice and quiet place. Good location for exploring the national park. The room was spacious and clean, but could use some updating. Breakfast was very basic. The kitchen was helpful. "

"We are given Cabin 1 and there was no lighting outside and the bathrooms were a 3 min walk away in the dark. I feel and hurt my knee trying to use the bathroom at night, this caused me alot of discomfort for the rest of my stay. This part of the island is wet, and rain is common. There is mud that makes the ground dangerous to walk on. I would not recommend this place due to safety concerns. "

"Rooms were clean. In room breakfast was good, but was not plenty for a family of 4. However, the fruits were fresh and refreshing. The bathroom did not have a sink which was a little inconvenience, but the location of the property was great which was the biggest differentiator for this place. Little hard to find but the owner gave very clear instructions to locate the property. In all, happy with the overall service."

"It was no contact with the staff after 6pm, I texted the staff around 5:40pm because there was no coffee at all in the room, but she never responded, so we left early next morning. $425 a day for that small bungalow room without any service was how much very expensive. When we arrived around 4:30pm and we were waiting with another couple to check in but there was no staff in the check-in area."

"Pros: responsive staff, easy close parking, near HVNP, easy check in, towels smelled great! Cons: I would look elsewhere in Volcano if I come to the park again. This place did not meet my expectations. The rooms need a fresh coat of paint, deep clean, new carpet, better mattresses and more outlets. The only outlet near the bed was behind the big impossible to move bed and both lamps were plugged in to that outlet. There were stains on the carpet and when I unplugged a lamp to plug in something I saw a LOT of dust back there. Also around the window of the back door, there was considerable dirt. Like I said, it needs a deep clean. Let’s just call this place rustic "
