The oceanfront view and beach access was very nice and convenient. The actual room was not clean overall and needed some cleaning along with repairs/upgrades. The bedding was clean and smelled fresh! The staff was very nice and friendly but the hotel can use some cosmetic repairs.

The property is just over a dune from the ocean on a quiet stretch so amazing location. However, the pictures are a crazy glow-up as the fixtures were rusty, the plumbing leaky, the bed broken/sagging, and the desk broken. Despite not dealing with a person for check-in or checkout and not asking for a towel refresh, the property still billed me $10 at checkout with no receipt or warning.

Quality Inn Carolina Oceanfront is a very dirty, filthy and uncomfortable place. When I came in early in the morning and checked in the front desk told me I didn't have a reservation and I told him my reservation was through Expedia. The person then told me my reservation was canceled and I told him we were tired and had driven 5 hours and we really needed a rest and he said I can't do anything for you my reservation was canceled and my kids and I left. After calling Expedia, the reservation was confirmed by Expedia and I returned to the hotel 12 hours later. The employee gave me the room key and when I got in the elevator, the elevator was very dirty and filthy like it hadn't been cleaned in years. When I got to the door room and tried to open the door to the room, I saw a guy with his family and his wife told me this was our room and I read the room number and made sure it matched the room number on the key and the two numbers matched. I went back to inquiries and spoke to them and they told me that the person gave you a key for the wrong room number and gave me another key and went up to the room and when we entered the room I found that the room was dirty and filthy as if it had not been cleaned in months.I got up and took out my phone and took a video everywhere, everywhere in the room, bathroom and a shower area everything, even the fridge, the microwave, the floor, everything,everything there was dirty and filthy, I called the Expedia team and left the room immediately

We ended up leaving the first night of our 2 night stay. Room was extremly poor. Bathroom door didnt shut, said full/queen beds. Extremly small. Outlets bowed, mold in bathroom. Only positive....right on beach.

Horrible. Hard to believe they have they balls to continue taking money from people. If you do not leave your AC at 64 degrees or lower the entire room gets saturated with condensation, literal puddles on the floor. Also very dirty, they may have wiped the surfaces down with a dirty rag. Sheets were clean , beds were okay - other than being damp like everything else.

Definitely not worth the price for how old the building was, not sure about the rooms inside the hotel but the rooms that only had outside access definitely looked more like a motel and very run down. Paid my trip in full on website and was charged over $800 when I arrived thankfully the issue was resolved but it was a big enough problem to put a stop to some of our plans. Definitely wouldn’t go back nor would I recommend the place. There are condos/apartments around the hotel that are right on the beach as well and I would definitely try that before this hotel again.

The room was filled with mold due to the moisture they kept the rooms so cold. Which I fine, I get it I love it cold! But they need to watch the condensation it caused the lamp shades, walls and curtains to mold. Other wise the staff was super friendly , the place was quiet and I wouldn’t mind staying again!

The hotel is very run down and needs a refresh. However, people don't stay in their rooms at the beach. It is very convenient and on the beach and the staff are amazing. Big shout out to Claudia at the front desk. She is very customer focused and friendly. The breakfast could definitely be improved; however again people go to the OBX to be on the beach.

Black mold on the lamp shades. Smelled absolutely awful! Woke up with my eyes swollen, congested and coughing. When I spoke to the front desk they already knew it was like that. This place is a bio hazard.

The pool was not open when it was supposed to be. The front desk wasn’t manned properly. My child woke one morning with a huge roach or water bug on them as he slept. Very disturbing. We had to leave in an emergency and they were helpful and refunded a night for me. I didn’t ask them too but then they charged me again meaning I was very short of money to make the 5 hour trip home to face our emergency. Not a nice thing to have happen.

This place is a nightmare. Room was dirty. Kids asked to sleep in the car or at the beach because our room smelled so bad. Electrical taped doors, bathroom mirror was not cleaned.Im. It even sure the room was cleaned in months. The dirt and dust in the bathroom and floors was absurd. Can hear your neighbor. Couldn’t get out of the place soon enough. AVOID AT ALL COST!

Absolutely filthy and rundown. $230 per night for an ocean view and I had to change my own bedding because the room wasn't cleaned properly. Damage to the walls, doors and everything inside. Do not waste your money here.

Old oceanfront hotel. We booked because it was available and pet friendly. Switched as soon as we could move up to a better hotel. None of the rooms face the ocean. It is right next to a great beach access. Rough clientele. Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms fairly large and had linoleum floors so easy to clean up sand and spills. Large bathroom with nice shower heads. But everything on the edge of repair, mold, leaks, etc. Wouldn’t stay there again.
