“It is difficult to fault Kilkea Castle as every aspect of the property impressed. The little things therefore matter and small faults in maintenance, which should be dealt with in a luxury property, tend to stand out more. However, that is digging into the fine detail. So, first impressions carried through from first stepping inside with a warm welcome, the engaging housekeeping staff and superbly professional dining/breakfast room staff. On site activities are a nice touch and worth looking at....

“Really enjoyed our stay here the place is stunning with loads to do. Enjoyed a couple of pints in the castle by the fire and had a great breakfast the next day. The lodges are huge and very well maintained. A real getaway ”

“From the moment we arrived til the time we left all staff we met made a big positive impact with our stay. Check in, bar, dining and service staff were great. As we are on an extended trip of 3 months staff changed our room to thd lower floor so we didn't have to lug our suitcases upstairs. We had a lunch and a dinner and both were wonderful and well priced.”

“What a lovely hotel. We were greeted by friendly staff on arrival and checked in within minutes. We were appointed a quiet room which was spacious and comfortable. Food in the restaurant was very nice both at dinner and breakfast. The hotel had excellent gym facilities. All in all a great short break!”

“Excellent from start to finish, the welcome at the front desk, lady with blonde hair, very nice, to the rooms, which were very spacious, and 2 double beds which was great, to the food in the restaurant, the stir fry was gorgeous, the baileys sauce was fab, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the ambience in the foyer was so calm and relaxed, it was nicely decorated for Christmas, the outside of the hotel was nicely lit up with lovely reindeers.”
