“Safari House had plenty of space for our family of five. While not in the heart of Stone Town, it wasn't a far walk (10 min) to get there. Romaine, our host, was quite accommodating. The power and water shut off in the morning and he was over immediately to fix it (we didn't realize it was on a timer and was an easy fix). He also allowed us to store our luggage there after checkout time while we went out for a bit before our flight home. ”

“Lovely little hotel with individuell rooms and a restaurant bar right at the beach. We had one of the rooms with a spacious balcony, where you have stunning views of the ocean. Pia & Hashim are great hosts who let you feel like home, always friendly and willing to help you with everything. Their cute dog Leo & their cat complete the family. “Friendly staff, clean rooms, pool with good upkeep and generally tidy grounds. Can't really complain about anything major. Even if it's not exactly 5-star accommodation they are making a good effort to cater to the needs of westerners. The restaurant has plenty of ambience and again the staff is friendly but the service is slow (this is endemic in Zanzibar though) and the breakfast selection is quite basic.
