"I have no idea how this place had a Fabulous rating. The walls of the room were dirty, bad wifi connection, pool is not usable as it's always packed with local kids. The only positive thing was that the staff were helpful. I'd definitely spend a few extra dollars to stay somewhere nicer."

"The hostel has vintage interior design and the place is cosy and tidy. It locates near the major sightseeing points, IG-able coffee shops and great local food eateries. A very pleasant 2 day stay in Alor Setar.
"A very pleasant 2 day stay at the hotel. The room allocated was spacious, clean and comfortable. I used the gym and swimming facilities and both were good. I used the hotel for breakfast and for evening meals and both were very good with a wide range of selection. All of the staff I encountered were very friendly and courteous. The main tourist sites within the city were only 15 minutes drive away or 12 Ringgit (£2) by taxi. "
