โAs always the Barcelรณ was excellent. I stay there almost every year and have never noticed a decline in service or accommodation. This is my โgo toโ hotel for Guatemala City without fail. Keep up the good work, Barcelo!โ
โHotel was great all around. The pool and jacuzzi were nice, our room was clean and the hotel itself was very modern. The only takeaways I would have are 1 day the room service came around 830am which was a bit early for us, and second is nobody really speaks english at all excluding the people that work the front desk (which is to be expected I guess). It wasn't easy trying to order food from the restaurant due to the language barrier. Overall an excellent choice of hotel close to the airport.โ
โStaff was incredibly welcoming and nice. Let us drop our bags early, and when we returned to check in, they had already put our bags in our room. They also took care of ordering a taxi for us to get to the airport at 3:00 a.m. with honest prices and right on time. It was a great stay at the end of an amazing adventure. โ
โWhat this is: a small hotel surrounding a courtyard. Situated on a quiet street within walking distance of shopping, cafes, bakeries, etc. The front desk staff is super helpful, as is all the staff we encountered. The room was clean and comfortable. The rooftop cafe has good food at decent prices. So glad we booked this hotelโ
โDuring my stay, we experienced a moderate earthquake. The hotel handled it with great professionalism and concern for safety. They made sure all the guests and staff were secure and comfortable. โ
