"Nice grounds and adequate rooms with nice personnel. Food same night after night at buffet mostly- salad bar and fruit best and stick with made to order items when can otherwise. No beach presence. You can get your own chairs at Palace in trees and drag (heavy) yourself. No town near by. Expensive for what it is. "
"5 min walk to beach. Room was comfortable. Villa had kitchen, though we don't cook. Even had air-fryer, electric skillet and double gas burner cooktop.
Plenty of parking.
Chairs on front patio. Pool area was nice.
Breakfast was good with basic options.
Convenience store was good for drinks.
Didn't try dinner since found other places on beach."
"Room was in good condition and large with kitchen. Comfortable bed. Beach sand is soft. Pools were nice and at top of hill with the food & drinks. Some common areas need a bit of maintenance/upkeep.
Rooms are down the steep hill in rows. Stayed in 300's about 1/2 way down. Walking down was not bad, did not need to walk up as shuttle arrived at the right times.
The shuttle ran a loop that seemed pretty frequent. They say every 5-15 min, but never had to wait even 5. Only time I saw it full was the 7am first run when everyone wanted breakfast then too. Though the resort did not seem very crowded.
Food and drinks are the low point. Beer is local Imperial which is good. Only have about 5 bottles of generic alcohol for anything else. One rum, scotch, tequila, vodka, and maybe a couple more bottles. So they can't make all drinks. No name brand bottles like the Expedia pictures show.
Food is also limited. About a 6 warming tray buffet. Generally the meat was too tough to cut with the knives they provided. Saw someone with burgers, but not sure how to get one of those. Dessert was good. Breakfast they can make omlets."
"This hotel was OK. We weren’t really sure to expect. This is our first visit of the area. The view from the beach is nice, but the beach itself was dirty lots of trash and lots of rocks. It doesn’t seem to be maintained by anyone more of a very natural state. A room was dated, and our travel mates had to switch rooms when we first checked in due to ants in the room. We ended up having to also switch rooms on our last night because of infestation of ants all over our bed in our suitcases and on the walls and ceiling. Overall, the property seems very dated The grounds are nice, but not as well kept as many places we’ve stayed. Some of the staff was very friendly. Some of the staff was very quiet. Wasn’t really any consistency, but no one was rude. The monkey is hanging out by the pool were probably the highlight of the trip to this hotel. The pool was very nice and accommodating, but we wish they had more chairs as there weren’t enough for our party and the small amount of other people that were staying at the hotel. The food was OK not great and very expensive. However, the complementary best breakfast was wonderful and the staff in the mornings was wonderful every other time we ordered food it took between 45 minutes to an hour and even a simple drink like a Coke or a nonalcoholic drink took a better part of 30 minutes each time overall it was OK, but we would look for another location if we return to that area"
"Everything was perfect! So many employees staying on top of Everything.
We caught a SkipJack fish & the chef cooked/blackened it for us to Perfection. Just a short walk fown the beach & u can feed local monkeys."
