โLamu House is a lovely historic hotel right on the harbor front - top floor bedrooms facing the water are the best with cooling breezes. The staff could not be friendlier and the restaurant is tasty and popular. If you want an authentic experience of Lamu the town, this is the place . It is not a luxury resort type establishment like the ones out of town. โ
โWildly overpriced tourist trap, charging DOUBLE what newer places with pools charge on the same street. stay at Petleyโs insteadโ and book on arrival, not in advance. โ
โLovely, helpful staff and a great location, right by the water where you look down on everyday life, dhows, donkeys and all. Quiet garden with pool and sunloungers. Excellent rooftop restaurant. 30 minute walk to Lamu or short boatride.
Large, traditional rooms so don't expect TVs. โ
โDream location with excellent & friendly service. The quality of the food is one of the best I had in Kenya. The views and facilities are top level. Definitely will be back with family & friends.โ
