We stayed here for Kool Deadwood nights. Couldnt beat the price anywhere else. We stayed in the hunting cabin. It was noce enough for sleeping. Bathrooms are a little far away from those cabins, but the bathrooms and showers were noce and clean. Overall we would stay again when down in the Black Hills. It is a nice place.
This is the 2nd time for us staying in the yurts.
Very affordable, comfy bed, cleanliness of whole property, attention to details, and beautiful location.
So close to nature and owners do a nice job of providing everything you need. Lanterns, bedding, towels, toiletries, firewood, coffee. Enjoy the decorating and landscaping outside the property. There is also a gathering space with seating, games, beverages, and tv viewing. Plenty of places to gather and enjoy nature! I look forward to returning next year!
Wow what a gem. This place was absolutely beautiful. The staff was amazing, the yurt we stayed in was amazing. I am so happy we found this place, it was like a little slice of heaven. When we come back to the Black Hills this will be the place we come to stay, next time for more than one night. Thank you Whitetail Creek Resort for a wonderful evening, I slept like a baby. The shower house was clean and the water was nice and hot. I can't say enough good things about this place. Thank you again ❤️.
I stayed in a yurt with queen bed. It was very clean, as was the shower/bath building. If I had any complaints they would be toilet stall is too small, and I am a small guy. Also road is noisy until 9 or so. Manager/(owner?) was very knowledgeable and friendly.
I liked everything about this place. The owners are the most caring and friendly folks that I have ever encountered in my travels and I have did a lot of traveling in my 86 years. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.
The gal at the front desk was very nice and had everything all ready on check in , cute rooms and very comfortable bed. Brookelyn you are doing a great job!
I was looking for an inexpensive alternative to camping or a cheap motel - the ‘yurts’ at Whitetail Creek were perfect. Comfortable double bed and plenty space inside, BBQ to cook my own dinner, and a large shared fire pit for evenings. Everything I needed, and run by friendly and competent people! Be aware that if it gets cold you’ll want all the blankets (ask for more if you need), and there is no electricity in the tent, but several electric lanterns for light. And it’s a couple hundred feet to the bath/shower house, but well lit so no worries at night. They also have cabins, for those that prefer four walls (the yurts are round).
The people running it were so friendly and helpful. The yurt we stayed in was great and had an extremely comfortable bed. The scenery was great with a nice flowing creek through the property. We did not use the fire pit but there are plenty of fire pits around for evening fires. Can’t wait to come back again for our next SD trip.

We had such a great stay here and for such a great price! We stayed in one of the red little cabins. They do not have electricity or a bathroom in the cabin, but the hosts provided everything they can to make your stay comfortable. There is a shared bathroom just a short walk up stream and it is kept very clean. The property is absolutely charming! My 5 year old daughter just LOVED playing in the beautiful stream that runs the length of the property. I would definitely stay here again!
