"The staff were very kind and clear. The room was not very clean. It was obvious the floors hadn’t been swept/vacuumed, the shower walls had not been cleaned (hair and soap visible), the microwave had many finger prints visible, the top sheet was stained and had holes in it, the fitted sheet was fine but felt old and pilled, the tv never had signal, and the phone in the room did not work. I didn’t use any amenities so can’t speak to those. "

"Room was very clean and a nicely renovated. It had a great set up with living/sleeping area. It was quiet. You do have to pay for parking, which I’m not a fan of since I’m paying for the room. Breakfast is separate and expensive. There are many good other breakfast options in the are. I would definitely stay there again as the location is perfect to walk around the Plaza."

"We arrived at the hotel thinking it might have been recently updated inside, but that definitely was not the case. The outside of the building was full of trash, and there was even vomit near the area where our room was located, which was really unpleasant to see when arriving. We specifically booked a non-smoking room, but the room smelled strongly like smoke as soon as we walked in. The king-size bed only came with three small pillows, which felt pretty inadequate, and the room was also lacking towels. The one positive thing I can say is that we did not encounter any bed bugs. However, the photos on this site do not accurately show what the hotel actually looks like in person. We stayed for two days while attending an event, and fortunately we were gone most of the day and only came back to the room to sleep."

"Even the shops and restaurants that AREN'T nearby SEEM nearby because the streetcar stops eery 10 minutes outside the front door of the hotel. This gives visitors easy access to almost everything one might want to do...Country Club Plaza and River Market shopping and restaurants, WW1 Museum, Union Station, The Arabia Steamboat Museum, the Nelson Atkins art museum (and others) and lots of restaurants."
