Bien il y a 20 ans certainement ... déçue

L'appartement est ancien et ne correspond plus aux standards actuels ( pas de prise dans la salle de bains, installation électrique non conforme (prise près du point d'eau dans la cuisine), chambre très très petite, salle de bain aussi, équipements vétustes, cuisine inadaptée, TV ancienne, le chauffage de la chambre ne fonctionne pas, pas d'accessibilité handicapé ni poussette. La résidence est bruyante et mal insonorisée. Dommage .... Le canapé lit est absolument inconfortable. Honnêtement, pour séjourner très souvent à la montagne, cela faisait longtemps que je n'avais pas été aussi déçue. Une rénovation s'impose vraiment.... Les draps et serviettes sont payants. Comparé à d'autres résidences de ce type, le standing et les prestations sont loin d'être identiques, méfiez vous des photos.... L'emplacement de la résidence est tout en haut de la station. Il y a une petite navette qui conduit à la station ... toutes les 30 minutes seulement. Cependant, vous pouvez accéder à ski à la résidence. Il y a un petit supermarché, un petit bar trsè sympa, des tables de billard dans le hall et des commerces et restaurants à proximité, voilà le point positif !

Quiet location, value for the money

The hotel is located in the most quiet area of Meribel. It's good if you prefer quiet location but not so great for night life, meals etc. It's not the most luxurious hotel in the area but it offers good value for the money.

We knew that front-desk was not nice, based on review, and it was confirmed as soon as we arrived. Not patient, barely polite. They add 40 euros charge for our dog.

Super skiing on a budget

Genuine ski-in/out on a budget. Nice staff, easy ski rental & passes. Great for absolute beginners next to green run & close to (free) magic carpet. Access to lots of ski runs & 3 valleys.

Wifi pagando y solo en zona común

El apartamento poco limpio, sofá horrible, y con poco armario y cajones para dejar la ropa. El friegaplatos solo se abría la mitad porque la puerta tropezaba con el resto del mueble. El colmo era la wifi (por cierto no se anuncia en la web que es de pago) que hay que pagar aparte (3€ media hora) y solo en recepción. Alucinante en 2016. La situación muy buena, como cualquier edificio de esta zona.

Ski på lige til elevatoren

Dejligt roligt kompleks direkte til pisten med nær relation til de store liftsystemer. Nærmeste hejs 50 meter nede ad bakken. Meget imødekommende og hjælpsom reception. Vi boede fem i syvpersoners toetages lejlighed med hyggelig atmosfære. Fotos på hjemmesiden svarede til, hvad vi fik. Pæn stand. Lidt upraktisk køkken. Toilet og bad på hver etage. Vi kommer gerne tilbage.

Perfectly located for the slopes

Brilliant place for families - we had a 2 bed apartment so the children had their own room and bathroom. Very convenient for eveything!

Ideal for a ski holiday on a budget

Wasn't sure what we were going to find when we arrive however I was pleasantly surprised. Rooms are basic but adequate and warm. Check in was straight forward. Well located for slopes, supermarket (50 meters away) and a couple of restaurants (100 meters). The kitchen didn't have a microwave but some form of oven that looked like a microwave - didn't try that. Two rings sufficient for boiled eggs etc. We ate our every night but for breakfast and making mountain baguettes it was fine. Take your own mugs though as the French think is it OK to drink from cereal bowls

Reasonable value if you know what to expect.

Although the apartments at the Hameau are now a little tired and worn, they're reasonable value for money, acceptably clean, warm and adequately equipped if you're there to ski. Their location is outstanding - right on the Furet piste. You can ski to and from your front door. Mottaret is extremely well positioned in the middle of the three valleys, providing access to almost the entire ski area within one lift.

Very good piste location

Located right next to the piste above Mottaret. There is also a convenient bubble which takes you down to Mottaret if you are not on skis. There is a free bus which goes to and from Meribel. The studio was basic but clean and ideal for somewhere to use as a base. Plenty of ski rental shops locally and also a convenience store.

Brilliantly positioned, adequately equipped.

This is the fourth time we have stayed at the Hameau. The apartments have always looked a little worn and bare but if you're there to ski their position can hardly be beaten, right on the Furet piste. Mottaret is in the centre of the Three Valleys so getting to most parts of the skiing area involves only one lift. As long as your expectations are realistic the apartments are adequately equipped. But if you're looking for the Ritz you have to look elsewhere,

Excellente situation ski aux pieds. Mais si des appartements ont été bien rénovés, il reste des appartements vieillissants, dont celui où nous avons résidé. L'ensemble étant bien conçu, le séjour a été agréalbe.

Would stay again.

Great location - not just for ski in and ski out (off the Furet piste) but also for: free bus to Meribel stop just outside, cable car down to Mottaret town just outside, a decent bar (which is quite busy in the apres ski hours) with pool tables, local shop and restaurants (booking advised as they are popular with people who stay here) nearby and even a caisse to pick up lift passes from down in reception. We stayed in studio for 4 - fine for the two of us, although 4 people would find it very cramped. Beware of expensive extras - I mean 40 euros for a telly for the week is a bit ridiculous - I would advise taking your own towels and even bedsheets and cleaning stuff unless you want to incur further charges. Having said all that - would definitely stay again - all the plus points mean that it represents good value for your money overall, and if you plan your skiing to have your dinner break at Odalys - you save a fortune on expensive mountain restaurant meals.
