A big thank you to all the staff at DoubleTree who made our stay special and memorable by going above and beyond in every aspect possible. Right from the get go, check in staff were welcoming and friendly, having noticed on a passport that we were celebrating a birthday they provided an upgrade to one of the rooms. After checking in we went out to explore Lisbon, only to return to the room with a pleasant and special surprise, the hotel provided a lovely bottle of chilled Cava and some cake. The gesture along with the service, cleanness of the room and friendliness of the staff made it special and memorable and will recommend this hotel to anyone.

I liked the foyer and the facilities available. We weren’t allowed in the room until 3 hours after the check in. This was quite inconvenient for the 1st day. We wasted the whole day waiting for the room to be open. We were promised it would be ready 3 times. I didn’t find the work going on in the area very comfortable. Outside was full of rubble and uneven pathways.

Great staff and quiet location

We were in town for a wedding and stayed here as loyal hilton honors members. The hotel was not the fanciest hilton weve stayed at but the service and location were great. Its a bit far from the lisbon city center but we were ok with that since it can get quite hectic and ubers are super cheap. The staff were lovely and very accomodating. We had a situation with a wedding guest being highly inebriated. Due to circumstances out of our control we had to bring her to the doubletree and the staff were super helpful in getting us a second room set up at 3am ! They didnt ask questions and did what they could to make our night less stressful. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Lisbon.

We very much like the employees. They are friendly and helpful. However, we were very disappointed by our room, 308, on the black floor. We felt it was depressing and the bathroom was absurd and dangerous. A glass door with no door jamb that doesn’t fully close? A shower with no fixed shower head? Black carpet? We will refuse such a room in the future.

This is not Hilton quality and definitely not a 4 star hotel. It is a 2 star hotel at best. The shower has no door or shower curtain so when you shower water splashes all over the carpet in the room. The black design is terrible. How can you properly tell if something is clean if everything is black. The furnishings were very old with rust and cracks everywhere. The only good park about this hotel is the location.

Lovely staff but hotel needs updating

Check in was great … especially the front desk who helped me with my taxi driver who tried to charge me $45 for my ride from the airport. The bartender was also lovely. Just wish the restaurant had been open past 10P. While the room amenities were great per usual, the room (carpet) was not as clean as I’ve come to expect from Hilton properties. And why I wasn’t given Hilton points is still a mystery: I stay in Hilton’s throughout the US and always book through hotels.com!! Finally, you need to have shower stalls and not bathtubs with showers. For those of us over 65, this can be dangerous!!

We were initially given a room on the first floor, and we could clearly hear noise from the street. Luckily, we were able to change to a room on the third floor. There were, however, a couple of disappointments. There were construction works at the hotel, which was not very pleasant. In addition, we were asked to pay a €50 deposit at check-in. We were quite surprised by this, as it was not mentioned anywhere in advance. We were told that the deposit would be released at check-out, but it has been a week since our stay and we have not yet seen the deposit returned to our bank account.

I requested a room with a view, as being our 1st time in Lisbon but instead we got a view of the air conditioner units and apartments balcony with their clothes hanging out to dry!
