Lagoas Park/Porto Salvo - not Oeiras

On arrival no-one turned up ftom reception fir nearly half an hour and I was left standing on the pavement wondering if I had been scammed! But it was fine eventually. The room was pleasant, the shower could have been better cleaned. The shared kitchen left a bit to be desired - very limited crockery, bin was smelly and needed emptying. Overall I was satisfied with the room. No association with the Lagoas Park Hotel. Need to walk some distance to restaurants or shops/supermarkets. Lisbon city centre accessible by train from Oeiras station

My stay

I really enjoyed the place, the staff was very nice, receptive and respectful. It is a very secured and clean place. I don’t mind to return or recommend some stay in. Just one thing which is not important for , there must be an instruction/information about the tv, channel lineup list if available.

Property was lovely, although it was incredibly hot on the second story so our windows stayed open constantly. There were a lot of flys that came in (even before we had snacks in our room) which was horrible to sleep with. Screens would have been nice. The location was good, but you need a car to get around often. We used Uber to a train station for our one day in Lisbon which worked well.

This should have not been listed as the property is unkempt, moldy, dirty and like a place for low income or homeless. They know that someone will not stay there but ok to receive compensation for cancellation! Horrendous place!

The pictures advertising the property and the reality are a world apart. The location is used for deposit of solar panels (outside),the clutter reduced the parking space. The bed was comfortable but it didn’t had a top bed sheet, only the comforter. Very small pillows with no covers or extras. The bath tube was dirty, overall with bathroom aspect of poorly maintained. The hostess was very courteous and sweet.

Penthouse rooms

We stayed in the penthouse rooms. Place was clean, although the main room had a very bad sewage smell. We battled to sleep with the smell. On the site it says that it can sleep 8, but in reality max 6 comfortably. The sleeper couch mattress is like so thin and had no linen or pillows for it. For the price it's ok. I think the biggest issue was the sewage smell.

A little disappointed

I was a little disappointed once we got to the hotel considering that this was a hostel instead. Once we got there, the host brought us upstairs to what we expected to be a private area, and stated there was another bedroom which someone would use the following day. We had to lock our bedroom doors and one of the rooms didn’t have a washroom, so my family member would have to knock on our door in the middle of the night to be able to use our washroom. Two other things to note was the smell of sewage upstairs and the heat. It was awful! We would wake up to the awful smell. The heat was unbearable, and we couldn’t even open a window because of the mosquitoes. I was a little disappointed overall.

House of flies and mold

This is a house with many rooms with attached bathroom and a common kitchen area. The place is thirty minutes drive from the airport and fifteen minutes from Lisbon. The bus stop is twn minutes walk, with buses to Paco de Arcos station, with trains to Cais de Sodre station in Lisbon and to Cascais. The Lidl supermarket is about fifteen minutes walk. There is very little around, except some small cafes. The bedroom and bathroom windows could not be opened due to flies coming in, and so the humidity caused considerable condensation on the windows, resulting in mold. The bathtub had streaks of dirt, which can be easily cleaned with bleach. The kitchen counters were covered in flies and was not hygenic. The woman who maintains the place was very nice. The stove, fridge, microwave, wifi, TV were good. Plenty of bottled water was provided. Below are some simple things to make the place better: 1. Put screens on the window and a screen door on the front and back entrances to keep the flies away. This will allow windows to be opened to let fresh air in to prevent condensation and mold. 2. Put real coat hangers with bottom bars, instead of coat hangers with only the top, in the wardrobe. 3. Place a table lamp next to the bed so that guests can turn it on at night to read or get up and find the switch to the bathroom instead of stumbling in the dark. 4, Put a mirror above the sink so it helps to shave or brush teeth. 5. Leave a hair dryer in the room. I hope these suggestions help.

Sitio que parece en fotos que está muy bien pero no es nada agradable dormir allí. Tiene muchas moscas muchísimas y huele muy muy mal el baño y la habitación en general, mejor no meter la ropa a los armarios porque se pudre. Pensábamos que tenía televisión en el cuarto y estaba en el salón que tenías que compartirla y para él como no funcionaba. Una estafa ya que lo pintan bien y no vale para nada. MUY POCO AGRADABLE.
