“Great place for a long weekend. Scenery is amazing, hotel is clean, it has a cosy feeling, staff are great and food is pretty good. ”

“Cleanliness is not their thing! Found a veil of dust on the kettle, spots inside the mug, boot footprints INSIDE the shower, a shirt fell on the floor and I picked it up covered in dust. No hangers anywhere, they were also taken off the bathroom door, leaving the holes. Wifi was no working at all. The lady at the reception told we I could have had a bad connection. “Great property, with parking and good sized rooms, plus an excellent breakfast setup. Bed was very comfortable. Extended lounge with complementary whiskeys to try, and other guests were friendly and open to conversation. Located at the north end of Pitlochry, but only a 3 minute walk to the town. Excellent heating in the room. I particularly liked how friendly the staff were. Definitely a place to stay at again.”

“The hotel, restaurant and coffee shop were bustling with New Year revellers. The hotel accommodation is rustic. Rooms are bit too small for the size of the beds - no space for luggage. Plenty of options for a pint or a bite to eat, either in the hotel itself or in the village. Great spot for scenic walks and the smokehouse at the back does some great fayre. Staff are friendly and accommodating. ”

“Lovely hotel. We were met by the friendly owner Greg when we arrived and shown to a lovely room with great views over the hills. The whole hotel (a former large house) is beautifully decorated in keeping with the house, and has well kept gardens for sunny days. Very close to the town centre but quiet. Breakfast was delicious and very well presented. Highly recommended all round.”

““I stayed at the Atholl Palace Hotel for two nights, and unfortunately, I was disappointed with several aspects. The water pressure in the bathroom was weak, making it uncomfortable to shower. The bed and other facilities were quite uncomfortable as well. There was no concierge service, which I found inconvenient. Apart from the nice views and the historical charm of staying near the castle, I didn’t find much value in the experience.””
