Good place. Centrally located. On the small size but everything we needed. A lift would have been preferable but not essential

Not what I had expected. Its strange going to the bar to get your room key, LOL. The room was small but clean and looked like it had recently been redone. Felt quite comfortable there.

You feel as if you’re entering a pub, warm and friendly. The Desk Person, Chris, was so welcoming, even delivering a package that had been left for me. The rooms are funky and fun. If you need more heat, you tell the Desk and they’ll crank it up for you. When I returned at night, the place was loud and well-lit. Despite the noise, when I got to my room, I heard nothing. Breakfast is included and it was great! This was my 2nd stay and I’ll be back!

Staff was always helpful - and Chris the manager was tremendous. Great having a pint in the bar before going to the room. Breakfast was always good - and hot ! Location is fantastic for traveling from Waterloo.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the staff team were very welcoming and helpful, the rooms were clean and modern. The breakfast was as good as we have had at a hotel with plenty of choice for everyone. We were able to leave our bags the next day so that we could explore and collect them before heading home. We wouldn’t hesitate to return in future.

The rooms are right under railroad tracks. It was noisy all night long. Downstairs is a pub, upstairs is railroad. But location is good, close to waterloo station and southbank and staff is nice

Fantastic hotel, great location, friendly and helpful staff, complete with a pub downstairs for drinks and food. Very local to main station, central London, restaurants and a few supermarkets like Sainsbury’s and Tescos. Good room with everything we need, warm shower, comfortable bed, air con etc. great breakfast in the morning with quality food. Highly recommended and would use again.

It is very clean, close to the tube and the trainstation and the staff is really nice. The breakfast started a little late, so unfortuantely we weren't able to enjoy that every day since we were there in business regards. But all in all a nice stay!

The location, several blocks from Waterloo Station, makes it a convenient location to stay if traveling through that station however, the actual location of the property is fairly"rough" and very noisy - traffic, population and trains. The actual hotel is a busy corner pub below with guest rooms above in the tradition of public houses with accommodations. My guest room was on the third floor (no lift) up narrow curving stairs but, fortunately one of the staff members carried my heavy bag up to the room. Room very small with tiny bathroom. The noted problem was the extensive mold around the shower door and tiles. Tea tray with coffee and tea, etc and nice bath gels and shampoo. Included in the price was an excellent choice of breakfasts served in the pub area. On the whole, I wouldn't stay there again as the price for the room (over 300 pounds) was outrageous....mold on shower stall doors and tiles is not acceptable in any public lodging.......

Lovely room. Quiet and clean. I wasn't sure with it being so close to the underground and above a bar, but we slept like rocks (room was on the 3rd floor). Lots of character - I know they updated recently and it was perfect! The only concern - no lift so if you can't maneuver steps, this is not the hotel for you!

Nice staff, very cool building. Impressed that you couldn’t hear ANY noise from the pub below! Really lovely room, but the heating system was so noisy that we had a tough time staying asleep for long. Earplugs might help that.

I'll stay here again if I need a room, this end of London. It wasn't the Ritz. And it didn't COST what the Ritz would have. It is a thoroughly modern operation in a very old building. Yes the stairs are narrow, steep... BUT... Room clean. Lovely high ceilings. Room NOT over pub. Excellent sound proofing. LOVELY friendly, competent staff. Excellent cooked breakfast part of cost of room.

Room was fine, pillows had a really bad smell. They got puffed up when not used and when you squeeze the air out is was disgusting. Also the shower temo control was broken and turned by it's Sheffield from cold to burn. Bathroom mirror light did not work.

The property was well situated and very close to Waterloo station. The staff were all very helpful and nice from the check in up to the check out. The room was nice and clean and bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was really good as well. I’ve forgotten my necklace in the room and before I even realized it, I got a message from the hotel that the cleaners found it in the room and they offered to mail it to me if I wasn’t in the area anymore. It was overall a very good experience and I’m looking forward to staying again in the future.
