Stayed 2 nights for Mt. Whitney Summit (and stayed in the past as well when in area). Overall good place as a base camp for mountains in the area. Basic amenities, hot shower and receptionist was welcoming. AC ran well during 100+ degree weather for those 2 days. Would stay again!

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
Disliked: Cleanliness
I liked the location. The room itself was filthy. The walls were splattered with something disgusting, the shower curtain was stuck together on the bottom by some type of sticky fluid, so I didn’t touch it or use the curtain, I just showered with it open with my flip flops on. The bed seemed to be clean. Thank goodness for that.

The property is definitely dated. It’s perfect for a Hiker that doesn’t mind an old microwave and refrigerator and older furnishings. But I have to say, it is EXTREMELY clean and the beds are very comfortable so when you’re prepping or coming back from hiking Mount Whitney it is a wonderful respite. the staff is also super nice and has no problem coming out late to check me in with a friendly smile. There is also pressure in the showers thank God wish most hiking places don’t have. Would definitely recommend for any Hiker passing through. It is literally only 20 minutes to the portal.
Simple place but got some rest before heading up to the mountains. Shower was hot and overall was reasonably clean. A basic place but worked ok for my needs
Well located. Excellent sound proofed rooms. Rooms nicely cleaned except for the floor which was not only dirty to the sight but sticky on our feet.
Biggest complaint is that 3 guests were allowed to bbq on a hibachi right outside our room and drink beer until after 9 at night. We felt very uncomfortable with asking them to go somewhere else. There was no phone in the room with which to call the drink desk to have it addressed
Convenient and clean motel perfect for travelers driving up the 395. Good amenities and town is full of eateries and interesting side trips to Mt Whitney and the Alabama Hills.
I do a lot of mountaineering in this area and I always stay in this location . Rooms are very clean . The front desk staff are super kind and friendly and helpful . It’s walking distance to your grocery shopping or Gas Station or any other store . And of course it’s super close to Mount Whitney
Room was clean and comfortable, staff was so nice and accommodating. It’s a great location to see the Mountain View and if you’re going into Death Valley.
Great very helpful staff!!!!
Room is a bit too light at night for me loving total darkness and air conditioning is a bit noisy
Great small pool…. lounges would be a nice addition but perfect temperature
Within walking distance to many eating places and across the street from a beautiful park with a stream running through
Basic place to stay. Room was well equipped with fridge, microwave and other basics. Without the fan going the traffic on 395 is loud. Convenient to restaurants in Lone Pine.
