โRoom came with hot tub & balcony which was a great experience with good views of the golf course, beach and lighthouse. Standard room and shower room - was like staying in someones spare bedroom rather than a hotel. Good experience!โ
โEasy to get into the apartment and the pull out bed was comfortable. The bedroom bed was not as comfortable. Well stocked and organized, but noisy complex In a rundown part of the city.โ
โWe stayed just one night, but wish we had time to stay longer. Check in was a breeze and the staff were lovely! They were super friendly and welcoming. We received a great recommendation for a dinner place from them. We also enjoyed the decor and the feel of the hotel. It is definitely unique and beautiful. Also, breakfast was FANTASTIC! We would love to stay here again. โ
โWhat an absolutely beautiful place! We loved our room; it had so much character. We appreciated the kettle and coffee/tea in the room, the included breakfast; the restaurant on site, the wifi and the available parking. The grounds are also beautiful; you can sit at the tables along the river and admire the castle-like building. I wish we could have stayed longer. โ
โAbsolutely the best value in Elgin..
Delicious breakfast, spacโous rooms, fast Internet, courteous staff, central location and a parking spot for your car. What else can you look for?
Oh I forgot| the selection at the bar is overwhelming!โ
โGreat situation for the shops just a 5/10 minute walk away. Parking at the hotel is good. Rooms spacious and comfortable and clean the only thing that is a let down is the bathroom itโs a bit outdated found the shower slippy and no where to put your shower gel and shampoo. Breakfast is very good with plenty of choice and full cooked breakfast is very good and hot. Didnโt have dinner was not keen on the menu but it might be good for others but not me. Staff are very nice and friendly. Very...
"Rooms were great, exceeding expectations considering its location in the countryside and cheap price.
However, the owner should not be so aggressive about inconveniences caused by guests.
If he thought we were too loud in our rooms, the owner should have simply said so.
Barging in to our room without any warning or properly announcing himself(he just opened the door and came in his bathrobes) was unacceptable. Proceeding to then waving/pointing the end of his walking stick at his guests' faces while shouting threats, would not be considered anywhere near tolerable, let alone hospitable.
We would have been regretful for any inconveniences we may have caused, if it were not for the owner waving his walking stick at us, causing more Shock than Regret. We are your customers, dear sir, not some kids you let in.
Cultural differences may exist, and the 'friendly' atmosphere of this facility may come with its downsides, but the owner should learn his manners before attempting to teach others theirs.
He would do well to remember the guests are not 'guests' at his home, but 'paying customers' who are using his facilities at their expense.
Other grievances include the fact that the housekeeping is limited to new towels, but I understand that it is in accordance with ESG trends.
Nevertheless, we still enjoyed most of our stay at this establishment."
