We stayed for a couple of days and loved the experience! Allison and Hugh are one of the best hosts we´ve ever met. They are kind, welcoming and always available to help with anything you need. The breakfast they prepare is outstanding, everything homemade and delicious.
We will definitely come back if we have the chance!!
Alison and Hugh are superb hosts and went out of their way to make us feel át home'in their beautiful house in Lossiemouth. Further, they were both so helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed Hugh's cooking! We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. The house itself is ideally located only 2 minutes to nearby restaurants, coffee and the idyllic beach. We would highly recommend Lossiemouth House to future guests and look forward to staying again soon!
We received a friendly welcome. It was a lovely lightsome room with dual aspect and very good bathroom facilities with luxury toiletries.
Excellent choice of porridge (best I have ever tasted!!!),high quality and very well presented cooked breakfast which was also very tasty. Also special marmacurd!!! Like marmalade but blitzed the peel away - maximum flavour no bits!!!!
Would I stay here again - most definitely but next time I will book for two nights as one was not enough.
The best hosts we could think of, who looked to make every part of our stay better and more enjoyable. Outstanding breakfasts, a comfortable and spacious room and great parking in an excellent location—we’ll be back!
Gentillesse, souci du bien être des hôtes, attentionnée…
Chambre confortable, propre, finesse en décoration.
Petit déjeuner copieux, délicat.
On a adoré!
Great hosts, lovely room, lovely breakfast, facilities recently modernised but not detracting from the historic feel of the property. Parking easy and off road. Property within easy walking distance of local pubs and eateries. Will definitely be revisiting soon!
What a find! Can’t speak highly enough about this property. Friendly, obliging, informative hosts, spacious bedroom and beautiful en-suite. Nothing was too much trouble during our stay. Will definitely be back again. And as for the breakfasts…..😍
Very friendly owners with extensive local knowledge. Able to come and go to accommodation at any time. Beautiful room with lots of little extras like homemade shortbread etc.
What a find! Lossiemouth House is probably the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Alison and Hugh, the proprietor's went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable - home made shortbread, cake, ground coffee + cafetiere, instant coffee and multiple types of tea all in the room. The room was spotless, quiet and very comfortable. Great en-suite facilities. The house is beautiful. Breakfast was superb, with great choices, all of which are extremely well presented by Hugh, who was personal chef to a number of celebrities, including a king! We would highly recommend this establishment for a great stay in Lossiemouth.
As soon as you walk through the door you are welcomed. Excellent accommodation, breakfast superb, loved the various porridges. Nice touch with the scones as you arrive and homemade fudge when you leave. Alison and Hugh are great hosts. Would definitely go back and recommend the hotel to anyone. Huge thanks to you both.
We had a fantastic stay. Hugh was really interesting and friendly and the food was delicious. Lossiemouth is a great place and the house has an excellent location.
My experience of staying at this B&B can't be hyped up enough. Hugh and Alison take exceptional care to make sure that your stay is welcomed and nothing is enough. My initial encounter started months even before we booked, as we attended a wedding in the local area. Alison, even before we arrived, made it her own mission to locate a recommended hairdressers for my partner to book.
Fast forward to the stay, she welcomed us with a phone call to check our arrival, walked us to our room and talked through the local eating options.
Now to the best part, the room we had was big, comfortable and relaxing, the bed was extremely comfortable a point that Alison had already suggested, but you need to experience it for yourself.
The breakfast, well Hugh was talked up based on his experiences in the food and beverage industry. The man didn't once disappoint, the drive was 3.5hrs away and I swear I "half" joked that it would be almost worth the drive up each morning. From the moment I finished by breakfast on the first day or our 2 day stay, I promise I was already looking forward to breakfast the next morning.
Both Alison & Hugh are genuinely pleasant people, with some wonderful stories to share and I couldn't recommend this as a place to stay any more highly.
One final point, you're about a 2 minute stroll to one of the nicest beaches you'll see in that part of the country.
In spite of our booking being lost via Hotels.com and our original room not being available, the owners put us up in two rooms and were extremely friendly and helpful. It's a beautiful building in a brilliant location and the breakfast was excellent. We'd thoroughly recommend it as a place to stay and I would go back without hesitation. Thank you Alison, for the wee chocolate fudge, a lovely gift.
