"Excellent hotel 5 minutes walk from centre of Donegal town. Plenty parking, welcoming staff, comfortable, clean rooms and the best freshly cooked breakfast you could hope for with super friendly staff. Some rooms accessed from an external walkway motel style which may not be everyone’s choice but it’s still quiet and comfortable. Would certainly stay again."

"Great wee family hotel. Clean, responsibly priced. Short staffed in bar. Staff ignoring due to same. Food surprising not great in bar and we normally aren’t very picky. Breakfast fine. Pool etc. great but needs modernised. Room grand. Can’t beat Jackson’s for value. Music in bar was great too."

"Breakfast was included which was the best perk to be honest! The Lodge felt a bit like an afterthought, but it was worth it for the price and to get to use the hotel's amenities. The walk along the lake was gorgeous. The bathroom shower was tiny - hard to use - and the showerhead was a bit broken. The room didn't have any AC and the fan was broken so that was a bit of a bummer. It got really hot in the room. Overall, wouldn't stay at the lodge again (just get a room in the actual hotel) but it was worth it for our quick 1 night stay. "

"Breakfast was good. Fruit juice.cereal. fry. Toast range of breads.loose tea. Staff very attentive. Evening meal was good.good choice.moved room as mum not able for stairs. Had sea view was stunning.room very good and walk in shower excellent.lovely venue will return to stay again."

"Nice hotel. Food at restaurant was very good. Front desk staff were moderately friendly. Restaurant staff were excellent. This was our second stay here. I will investigate other options if we are in the area again. But this one is a fine choice."

"Staff were all lovely, good food, comfortable room. We travelled with our 1 year old. Staff couldn’t have been friendlier, surprised that other residents or members of public in for dinner seemed to be annoyed when he got a little bit upset towards the end of eating. He was waving and they looked away. Not hotels issue but going to family friendly places is always helpful. "

"The room was clean and comfortable. I upgraded to an en-suite room, which made all the difference. The breakfast was great, though there is no longer on-site parking. There is a free carpark about 5 minutes walk away, cheaper pay-and-display parking round the corner and more expensive pay-and-display parking on the road outside."
