โLovely quiet and secluded. The area around the lodge is absolutely breathtaking. Breakfast and dinner were lovely as well. We used the lodge as our base for a couple of days of hiking in Connemara and it was perfect!
The only issue we had was our room was too hot and we couldnโt find a thermostat to lower the heating, opening windows was not really an option because of insects.โ
โThe staff was very attentive, the rooms were beautiful and the service was impeccable. The food and bar were also excellent. Fantastic hotel. The location is perfect with parking and everything is a short walk.We stayed 6 nights and enjoyed every minute. โ
โFrom the moment we walked in and we were greeted at the front desk, to our breakfasts, to dinner in the resturant the staff made us feel right at home. The rooms themselves were large, very clean, the beds comfortable, and the views of the clew bay amazing. Room service was fast and hot, the laundry service as well was very fast. I would recommend this hotel in a heart beat to anyone. We stayed in many hotels while in Ireland and this one was by far the best. As a side note there is a lot to do...
โThe bar restaurant and parking was great
Could have used a light above the sink for shaving and an exhaust fan for steam, Not a criticism but a suggestion โ

Lots of friendly local/Irish staff, which I think helps to add warmth to the atmosphere and is perhaps unusual for this size of hotel - perhaps because of Westportโs size? Food is great. Had been meaning to climb Croagh Patrick for a while and finally got round to it this time. This is not for the feint-hearted...
