“The room was very clean and the staff was polite and helpful. The location was perfect for all we needed to do in the area. The issues we had were the light outside our room was so bright and the room does not have a black out curtain. The room was very bright all night. “The front desk was greatly understaffed when a bus load of seniors arrived to check in. There was only one young man working and he was overwhelmed so the process was painfully slow for those of us waiting to check in after that group. When a manager (?) finally showed up, she started quizzing the young worker instead of jumping in to help. As far as the room goes, I suggest asking to be in the back building unless you want to start smelling the breakfast being cooked at 6am. Lastly, checkout...

“Great place, very clean and the view was beautiful. Only downside was they only had 3 handicap spots and the paid parking was a very long walk. They had valet but we like to do it ourselves. They didn’t have enough bag carts and wanted to put you on a waiting list to get one. Also, only had elevators at one end of the resort and it was a very long walk to the gulf view rooms.”

“Seemed like an older hotel that needs some TLC and not the level I expect from Courtyard. Elevator was broke part of our stay, the room was very humid and the sheets felt damp, and there were footprints on the ceramic tile floor and a few other minor housekeeping issues. The pool was down for maintenance as well. Beds were clean and comfortable.”

“Even though the property is “on the beach”, beach chairs and umbrellas are not provided free of charge to guests of the hotel, you have to rent them from another company, or bring your own. That was disappointing and unexpected. Previously places we stayed, the hotel provided all the beach amenities.”
