Great location. Very clean and organized. Edward at the main bar is a great bartender. Loved the waterfall shower head! Casino across the street was very convenient. A couple of negatives: the buffet was kind of small and often out of some basic breakfast things like bacon and potatoes, the woman in charge of the Italian restaurant seemed to become the footwear police one night. She was refusing entry to some women who were wearing nicer flip flops. It was weird. Clearer instructions on where to park would be helpful. Fortunately, i stumbled upon it but the instructions given were nowhere near accurate! Overall, a great place and would definitely return.

Room type: Island view room 1055 ( quite literally The most gorgeous view) - The palms grill/ cantina (bar/grill & at night a Mexican restaurant) - La fortuna (Italian restaurant) - Jings kitchen ( must be a sonesto guest to dine & closed on Saturdays if you go on Sunday’s go early!!) - Great beaches to see the planes (Maho beach) - We lounge - great vibes and great music , slow service, was almost up-charged for different things we never ordered, Naomi fixed it right away and charged correctly. - Can book excursions in lobby (Nexus tour) - Maho Cafe (can make your own coffee) - Taxis right out from if you need - Oasis snack bar open from 2pm- 6pm (about 15-20 minute wait) - The service is slow everywhere you go, so if you’re hungry go right away, the staff they seemed overwhelmed and a bit understaffed. Which I understand their reaction, however if these restaurants had more staff they can work a bit efficiently. This is not their fault but managements. Hire more people. Also guest be polite and patient. -There will be vendors on the beach offering services like massages on the beach, hair braiding, selling bracelets etc. they won’t haggle you just politely decline and they’ll leave you alone. Waitress- Sharina, absolutely amazing and had amazing energy, always kept a smile on her face despite the chaos! Anguilla Getaway - Rum rush boat Captains - Sammy & Junior Atv - Marco, iguana feeding, explore Saint Martin (french side) nude beach etc

Sonesta is very conveniently located to the beach, shopping and dining. Fun resort activities and food was okay. My issue was the room was a little dated, door wouldnt close unless forcefully pulled shut and bathroom had a weird musty odor.

Hotel overall was a good experience. Friendly and helpful staff. I did have to ask that the lobby restrooms be cleaned. They should monitor more closely/frequently. The food was not good. The Italian restaurant La Fontana was horrible. Red sauce reminded me of chef boyardi or spaghetti-o’s. The Palm grill wasn’t much better. Buffet options were also bad. Food wasn’t fresh, tasted like processed and canned food. You could tell the juices were from concentrate. Restaurant service was slow. Hotel common areas were clean. Our room was spacious and clean. More attention to detail needed. Pool umbrellas were filthy and had mildew/mold. There were light bulbs out throughout the property and the Ocean Terrace restaurant. Some of the hallways looked like old gum was stuck on the floor. My wife and I did massages at the spa and that was awesome. Great location, close to the airport, Simpson Bay Area and Marigot. We also did the ATV excursion offered by the tour service in the hotel lobby and that was an amazing way to see the entire island.

Our sink in the bathroom got flooded many times when we checked the sink there was hair all inside the pipe. There were several nights when we had blackouts in the hotel. The dresser in our room was broken and there was black fungus in our shower .

I arrived during Carnaval and the place was hopping with celebration and fun. I will definitely be returing to Sonesta: great food, minites from the airport and tons of shopping. Just be SURE to have cash on hand. No ATM and the only oneavailable in the Casino was down.

The resort was 10 minutes from the airport. The property was nice and well maintained with 4 restaurants plus other snacks/bars. The rooms were clean and spacious with updated bathrooms and stocked fridge. Service and food was consistently good. The beach was small but the water warm and very clear. Evening entertainment could use an update. Resort lounge chairs are not on the beach but a short walk. The pool area was lively. Overall very nice, relaxing stay.

BEWARE OF BLACK MOLD inside and outside of the resort building, we moved to three different hotel rooms and could not escape it. Room 258 and 458 were the worst, avoid the corner of the hotel where there is no sunlight and no airflow. The rooms all smell awful, musty and moldy. It’s really really bad and there is no air conditioning in the hallways so the entire building is rancid. I had migraines throughout my stay. Negatives: 1. Mold (see above) 2. The property smells bad, there is a horrible sewage smell next to the kids pool 3. Pool is murky and not cleaned often enough, I saw band aids and hair extensions 4. Extremely loud music all day long by the pool 5. Overall just kind of rundown and dirty 6. They overbook the hotel, there are constantly lines for everything and the property is just not big enough for how many guests they cram in there 7. Always a line at the elevator and the hallways are not air conditioned, we waited 20 mins for an elevator at checkout 8. Staff are very terse and seem unhappy to be there, they’ll all expect a tip so bring cash 9. Overcrowded, we waited for 2 hours at the nicer Italian for dinner Positives: 1. Food is great, buffet is delicious with a large variety of foods 2. Gardens are beautiful 3. Beach area is nice, there are no hotel services at the beach 4. Rooms are modern and well air conditioned but the entire hotel has a mold problem and it smells very musty and moldy 5. Plane watching is cool and noise was not bothersome

We were greeted by excessively loud karaoke on arrival, and given the wrong room despite booking a garden view. Some staff were helpful but others were downright rude and piggish. Customer service leaves much to be desired. We were unnerved by the presence of police in the lobby on the first night. Dining options were ok, but service was slow and quality was mediocre. Location is good for nightlife and linking to both sides of the island. The car rental service was extortionate and punitive. Overall not a good experience for a 3 day trip.

The resort has a small casino across the street that plays loud music until 3:00 am every night. The rooms were dated and dirty. The staff acted like it was an inconvenience to do their jobs and management and staff weren't friendly. I wouldn't recommend this resort.

The room was a bit small for the 4 of us, but comfortable enough. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Pool bar is fantastic. Kids loved the slides

I loved it the staff were very nice when we checked in and through out the whole stay they cleaned the room everyday and even decorated the room for my husband birthday it was amazing

Ms. Jane, one of the servers, was always pleasant and went above and beyond to satisfy our needs. Food was OK. If you like seafood, prepare to be disappointed. My husband doesn't eat meat and one day they served him lettuce and tuna, straight from the can. Very disappointing. The best meal we had was 1.5 miles away at a local restaurant. The room had an unpleasant odor as did the surrounding areas of La Cantina restaurant. The beach was amazing! By far the best part of the trip.
