"Room was large and immaculate. Only issue was the hotel restaurant - extremely slow service and food seriously overcooked, to the extent that I couldn't eat it and demanded a refund. However, the hotel has plenty of parking and is an easy 20 minute drive from the airport, as well as having good public transport connections to the centre of Halifax. There is also an excellent 'Swiss Chalet' restaurant across the road, so the hotel's own restaurant is not such a big issue. Would use hotel again."

"Margaret, the home-owner and host, was very welcoming and congenial. Her house had a warm and cozy atmosphere. Our room was upstairs, comfortable, and had a view of the ocean. The shared bathroom down the hall had double sinks. An extensive continental breakfast was setup in the kitchen and included monster croissants and home-made muffins. Upon leaving, she urged us to take a few muffins for the road ... which we did ... delicious. Parking on the street ... very safe neighbourhood. The house exterior and yard needs a little more maintenance."
