"After looking at a number of places to stay for our 20th anniversary, we settled on the Royal Sonesta. This place was absolutely amazing, very nice and clean, with kind and welcoming staff. It's right on the beach, with loungers and umbrellas available for hotel guests. There's a bar and restaurant right on the beach as well. The food and drinks were very good, and the swim up bar was nice once it reopened 5 days into our 7 days stay. If I were to note some areas for improvement, I would start with the refrigerator in our room. It kept freezing items we put into it, even at the lowest setting. Meals and drinks at the hotel proved to be too expensive for us after only a few days, so we stopped at a grocery store for supplies. However we ended up with frozen yogurt and fruit in the morning after placing those items in the refrigerator. The USB ports built into the furniture also did not work for charging at all. Additionally only 2 of the 3 elevators worked the entire time we were there. Beyond that, I greatly enjoyed our stay here. Every staff member I met was warm and kind, our room and all the facilities were clean and beautiful with so much greenery around."

"The property was immaculate. Very spacious with many amenities. It had our favorite beach on the island. The landscaping around the entire property was perfect. Everything was extremely clean and well taken care of. Plenty of places to find and have fun in. The pool was amazing and well kept. Staff was always very friendly and helpful. The only downside was that their was no jacuzzi. "

"Nice clean room. Situated within the airport. One complaint. The handicapped rail is between the toilet and sink. It's connected to the floor in two places. My wife hit the floor connector with her toes and possibly broke one of the toes. The TV setup sucks not being able to find the listed channels."

"I loved everything about this hotel and our stay. The beach is very nice and the hotel is ON the beach. You go downstairs and exit the lobby to the beach. No drive. The hotel provides beach towls, loungers, and umbrellas at no extra charge. There is also beach service from the restaurant. This is perfect for families with young children. The pool service is the absolute best. The restaurant Awwa is the restaurant by the pool. The menu is top notch. The food is quite good. My 4 year old loved the fish tacos and the wagu sliders. The upstairs restaurant Kumo is awesome we enjoyed their breakfast and dinner. The room is amazing. We loved it plus the view of the beach was ideal. The staff is very accomodating, personable, and polite. We highly recommend this hotel. "
