Great little hotel. Superb location just off Place de la Republique. Very near Metro. Staff are immensely helpful and friendly. Good choice for breakfast and very relaxing environment. Clean rooms and very quiet.

The hotel is in a very good location — within walking distance to everywhere. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent. However, the hotel staff are rude and aggressive. When I asked the bartender for a paper cup to drink water from the bar, he started yelling at me angrily. I found it inappropriate for such rude staff to work at a hotel where everything else is so good.

This hotel is in a great location. Parking is tough but at least there is an unloading zone to drop off your luggage. Bed was comfortable. Our main complaint was NO hot water. Showers were extremely tough in cold water.

Comfortable hotel in the best location in town. They will offer everything you expect for Mercure. Tons of good restaurants and shops are around the hotel.

Room was nice, location is very central but quite. There was restauration of parts of hotel while I was there, so very limited common area, hotel was very expensive, in regard that there were no facilities.

Central Lyon

Hotel is centrally located. Great for walking and getting to your destination. Carrefour store just down the road about 700m. They have great salad bar. Hotel has a bar which has great cocktails! I really enjoyed basil gin smash. Very nice lady bar tender. Room has tea maker and mini fridge. Small but neat and functional.

Great Mercure on the Presqu'ile. The location could not be better. The staff are a delight. Our Prestige room number 802, a corner room on the top floor had great views, including of the river and beautiful buildings. The lobby bar is delightful, open many, may hours, a comfortable meeting and relaxing place . The Bartender was able to recommend great restaurants at reasonable prices. The location could not be better for shopping, the largest museum in Lyon, access to restaurants, to the Tourist Bureau, in short, the central location was all we could ask, the room was delightful at a reasonable price, the service was excellent and informed, we travel a lot and count not ask for more at such a reasonable price, star-quality location, informed and gracious staff, and lobby lounge with a bartender who knew his wines and had just picked the wines for the summer season. A star hotel in every way.

Lovely hotel with a very cold bathroom

We really liked the hotel and would stay again. The room was big, the bed comfortable and the linens nice and cozy. It was very cold in Lyon when we were there and our only negative comment about the room is the bathroom was like an arctic climate zone! When you ran the shower it would heat up but if you went into the bathroom in the middle of the night - it was a cold plunge! Otherwise, the hotel was terrific. Staff super friendly. Espresso machine and wonderful tea selection in the room. Free (basic) mini bar and very convenient to all locations in Lyon. Even with the cold bathroom we enjoyed our stay and would return.

Diaappointing for the price

Great location within walking distance of all major sights. Room was basic and no air-conditioning was available. Would put it on a par with Premier Inn in the UK. Bed was large and comfortable, fridge available and basic bathroom with shower. All very functional but not luxury at all! Paper cups and no water. Cleaner very good. Fresh towels when required. We were on 8th floor and it was very noisy with loud traffic and people at street level. Staff all very pleasant but in our view the hotel is overpriced. Won't be returning.

The room was very small with just a twin bed. I did not understand the thermostat, and it did not seem to have any effect on the temperature of the room. There wasn't a countertop around the sink, just a few inches on the sides, making it difficult to balance things as I tried to get ready. The small nightstand was oddly shaped, and everything I put on top of it slid off onto the floor. On the positive side, the breakfast was good.
