"Amazing stay. The resort is beautiful and very well maintained. The setting is truly incredible. I was looking for rest and relaxation and I can't imagine a better setting for that purpose. The pool is beautiful. The view is spectacular. The tea room was such a pleasant place to watch the sunset. Food was excellent and service was prompt and friendly. I will look forward to my return!!"

"The views from the higher rise building are exceptional especially river view from the 5th floor. We loved breakfast and pool time here - stayed two nights and didn’t leave the resort! Some party noises on the Sat night and into the wee hours but expected given we are on holiday! "

"Highly recommend The Retreat hotel! It was gorgeous and the views breath taking. The staff was very attentive and kind. Will definitely go again. The tours were over priced though. ~400 per tour and while the locations were beautiful it was not worth that much money. Also note there is no food you can buy except for in the restaurants there. So grab some snack at the airport. But highly recommend this place. Even in the rainy season it was amazing "

"If you’re planning to escape the city’s chaos, this is the perfect place to do it. Waking up to the soothing sounds of birdsong and the gentle cascading of a waterfall is an incredible experience. The staff, including Eric and Carla, are incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. The only inconvenience is that it’s located far from everything and everyone. If you plan on doing any activities in Costa Rica, make sure to plan ahead. Moving around there would be easy with a car. They offer an authentic Costa Rican meal every day. Additionally, they provide hiking activities guided by a certified guide with extensive knowledge."
