Disappointing Experience at Hostal Plaza de El Sol, Madrid I arrived at Hostal Plaza de El Sol, but after waiting for over an hour outside, I was informed that my reservation was not confirmed due to maintenance issues. They promised a refund, but when I followed up through Expedia, they declined to honor it, citing a 24-hour cancellation policy, even though the situation was entirely their fault. The staff was unprofessional and dismissive during this process, which added to the frustration. It was disappointing that they didn’t take responsibility for the inconvenience. I ultimately booked another hotel for my stay in Madrid. I would suggest looking for other options if you’re considering this place.
