Forget about anyone answering your call from reception — even if you’re dying in your room. No matter what time I called (day or night), the reception never picked up. After going down personally and asking why they don’t answer, the only response I got was: “I was busy with customers at the counter.”
Apparently, one person handles everything, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel in Makkah. This wasn’t a one-time issue — it happened all three times I tried calling, even on different days.
Secondly, the washroom drainage was very poor. Water did not go down properly, so the bathroom floor stayed wet and dirty all the time. Very inconvenient.
Now the good part:
• The room was clean
• Breakfast was good
However, transportation is another issue. Unless you have your own car, be prepared to walk. Their shuttle bus drops you far from the Haram, and you still need to walk around 15 minutes to reach.
Overall, the hotel needs more staff, better maintenance, and improved shuttle service. Clean room and good breakfast, but the service issues make the stay uncomfortable.
