"The breakfast offered a good variety of choices, which we appreciated. However, there were a couple of disappointing aspects to our stay. The air freshener used in the main lobby was far too strong and overpowering. I also have concerns about the use of heavily fragranced products in public spaces. Unfortunately, the bed was not comfortable. The mattress sagged noticeably in the middle, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Overall, while the breakfast was enjoyable, the overpowering lobby fragrance and uncomfortable mattress negatively affected our experience."

"Google and Apple Maps did not bring me to the hotel. It is down at the end of the road by Premier Inn (.8 miles from rail station) Room was clean and modern. I had a great view of the water tower (.9 miles away)"

"A once fabulous hotel started to age. While things are okay, many items could be repaired or updated. Lightbulbs vibrate and hum loudly in the room. One of them was so loud that I could not dare to keep on. Else the carpets in the elevator need replacement. The bath tub ranks in the most slippery category and felt dangerous, the shower curtain refuses to move, and the tub does not drain well. Calls to reception are not being answered and staff is absent during checkout causing 15min delays."

"Friendly helpful staff. Vast hotel with the room a very long way from the lift. Room smelt of body odour which was off-putting but we were only there for a night. Not the hotel’s fault but lots of noise in corridor at 2.00am and again at 4.00am Otherwise perfectly acceptable Motel One"
