The owner was completely unreachable - all calls went to voicemail and messages through the booking platform, emails, and texts went unanswered.

"Apartment was unavailable when I arrived. No notice, no nothing. Had to find another place on the spot, in a foreign country.
The good news is Hotels.com (Expedia) reimbursed me within 7 hours of being told.
