"Beautiful hotel, close to a great courtyard with lots of restaurants and shops. A block from downtown. HOWEVER, this place is so unique, we wanted to just hang out in the room, lobby, and we had dinner in The Royal which did not disappoint. I recommend the Chilean Sea Bass."

The pool is NOT available and is still covered, the water filter in fitness center doesn’t work on water fountain, the gas fire pit is not on. There is ongoing construction and maintenance. "What a gem! I chose The Tennessean for my first trip to Knoxville to tour UTK with my daughter, and it exceeded every expectation. As a former luxury hotel professional, I can confidently say their standards of service and cleanliness are top-tier. The entire staff was incredibly courteous and helpful, and the property itself is beautiful, immaculate, and loaded with wonderful amenities. We loved using the gym, and taking their golf cart shuttle to dinner one night was an absolute highlight! The location is truly perfect, offering easy walking distance to local shops, sights, restaurants, and the university. With my daughter starting graduate school at UTK, I’ve officially found my permanent lodging for all future visits."

This time everytime it would cut on there was a loud falling noise of something loose inside. Having checked in later at night and traveling with kids once I realized the issue I decided not to bring it to the attention of the front desk."

"My room was huge and loved the extra make up counter. The bed was very comfortable. Very convenient to downtown! Front desk is always so welcoming. Big lobby and the cafe and bar were nice, they just take a little bit of time, so if you are in a hurry this maybe isn't the best option. Overall the location and size of rooms are worth it."
