The AC Marriott Velodrome has great air conditioning, which is key when the thermometer is above 35C. Nice little pool out back to cool off, and plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. dining options are superior to what you might expect. We use it for our corporate visitors, so highly recommend.

modern, clean rooms with working AC to cool you during the summer heat plus a small pool for relaxing. food is above average for a hotel and reasonably priced. already booked my next reservation. highly recommend.

Pet friendly hotel
Nice clean hotel room. TV and wifi worked very well. Helpful staff and the hotel is also pet friendly. Nice small pool for relaxation and cooling off.

Everything you need is there.
Everything you need is there. However a few things were stripped down a bit too much for my taste of a 4 star hotel. The cloth hanger was an open metal shelf instead of a closed or open cabinet. On the other hand the shower had ceramic tiles with relief. Looks interesting but is difficult to clean. The light at the desk is too dim to use it as a comfortable work desk.

Nice hotel and well located with easy Metro access. Parking is an issue however as we were told we needed to reserve this in advance though no instructions for doing so were provided in advance of check in. Selected this hotel because easy parking was advertised - ended up being a pain.

Good location for velodrome and Palais de sport.
Hotel in an ok location. We wanted to stay close to the Palais de sport for a tennis tournament so it was within walking distance. Snacks only available later in evenings after tournament, but the worst tea and cappuccino ever at the bar!

Great hotel and convenient!
Location was good - next to a shopping mall and the stadium. Not far from the vieux port by subway. Definitely able to find street parking instead of paying for parking - just might have to walk a few minutes. Staff was great. Make sure you check your bill before leaving - we took parking the first night but they tried to charge us for every night we were there! Other than that, nothing bad to say!

This property is listed as a 4 star accommodation, which is not at all accurate. Expedia needs to review this property immediately to register the rating at no more than a 2-3 Star hotel. The location is fine if you want to be far from the maddening crowds. 4 Metro stops from Vieux Port using both Metro lines. The hotel is 3 years old, but looks like 10. The staff was generally grumpy and unhappy, which I believe is a big sign that there is a problem with the management. The breakfast was a big disappointment. The hot food was never hot, the cappuccino machine produced curdled milk in my Latte. Customers were constantly requesting items to be filled and asking for food that should have been ready accessible for them. The rooms were exactly like the photos with the exception of the bed, which claimed to be a King and was really two twins pushed together and not very well. The beds themselves were hard and uncomfortable and when we requested additional bedding to soften the bed, the staff person at the desk was not at all gracious, but rather snotty about it. I was tempted to suggest that she spend a night on the bed before she makes an assumption on how the beds really are. The shower was good, but the drain did not work. We were swimming in water every time we took a shower. The water would overflow constantly. We reported this, but nothing was done. I don't know the standards of Marseille, but this is not a 4 star hotel!

Good location, comfy bed but trouble parking
Good location for both access to city via metro and out of town to beaches by car. Comfortable bed and good sized, clean room, but parking place by hotel not guaranteed even if willing to pay €10 per day (other options free street parking but may take a while to find (safe) spot or €25 per night in nearby parking hall).

Nice Hotel
A nice little hotel for my brief 2-night stay. Right next to the Stade Vélodrome. Decent sized room with nice shower and extensive TV channels (including BBC1!). The breakfast was somewhat limited but good enough to sustain.

Exploring Marseille
Nice place to stay. Great location for catching the metro and they have parking available on site. Difficult to figure out how to get into the hotel to check in. Signs and traffic flows make getting on the property difficult. Morning breakfast buffet in not worth $25. Great bike trail next to the hotel to ride to the beach. Safe neighborhood.

Great location if you are attending an event at the Velodrome - right next door. We weren't, but it is still a good location since the metro is only 5 mins away. 3-4 stops on the metro and you are in downtown Marseille. Get a day pass - good for metro and all buses.

Would definitely stay again!
Rooms are very spacious and clean. Excellent service. Location is not the best because there are not many shops or restaurants around but public transportation makes it easy to get to anywhere relatively quickly. The bus stop was in front of the hotel and the metro was less than a 5 minute walk.

Nice rooms, nice personnel, nice breakfast, and nice location with reasonable prices. Because of a small technical problem, rooms don't have wi-fi. My friend from Marseille told me that, in summer time everybody in Marseille on vacation, so you cannot find someone to repair it. Additionally, we realized that how dependent we are on internet.
