"This is a hard hotel to review. We felt that there was a bit of an issue with the staff as it all seemed a bit joyless and there were trays of room service food just left in the corridors for ages. And at the checkout having spent a lot of money on 2 nights in one of the best rooms they sought to charge us an extra $54.29 per day for a ""resort fee" which apparently included using the pool and general amenities!! We queried this and it was then taken off the bill. On the other hand the hotel was very generous and gave us some lovely chocolate fresh strawberries and wine for our anniversary and breakfast on one occasion. The staff were very nice but there seemed to be a lack of an obvious manager - ie no one to conduct the orchestra. So a mixed bag! We stayed in the old building looking out at the most amazing view and the bed could not have been more comfortable. But below us the room had the TV on very loud all afternoon and night and there is little sound insulation so that was pretty annoying! It is a really beautiful hotel in an extraordinary location with a great (and very expensive!) restaurant!"

"Summercamp was perfect to stay at during my first trip to Martha’s Vineyard. What was most helpful was they provide a large locker that fits luggage to store for you so you can tour the island until your room is ready! They are so helpful with suggesting hotspots to visit in the area. The staff is pleasant, helpful, patient and kind. They are very welcoming and helped to make sure my friends and I roomed on the same floor. They also found me a candle and stored my birthday cake for me. It’s close to everything and the view is amazing! The lobby and porch area are super cute areas to take photos or just lounge. I will definitely return and I highly recommend!"

"Our stay at The Edgartown Hotel was wonderful! The room was lovely, clean, quiet and spacious. Would definitely stay here again. The location was also a huge plus. Right downtown. Only a few 100 yards from the water. And the bus stop was just around the corner."

"Fantastic hotel in a perfect spot in Edgartown. Our room was really lovely and the breakfast was great. Bailey was a brilliant host and the afternoon cookies were delicious. We also hired bikes from the shop just next door. Overall an amazing stay at a beautiful hotel."

"We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the staff & GM were' and hotel teamwork made us feel comfortable, the island was beautiful and we would go back in a heartbeat, the ambience of the hotel with the flowers and the rocking chairs and decorations wonderful also the continental breakfast had a nice variety."
