The verandah (apartment 3 on the ground floor) caught morning sun so it was a great place to sit and look at the river and parklands opposite. Could hear person in floor above snoring all night and footsteps are not muted by any soundproofing but it is a heritage building and allowances have to be made. Easy parking. Clean. Comfortable beds.

We stayed in Unit 2 which is listed as a 3 bedroom apartment however one of the bedrooms is a thoroughfare to the toilet/bathroom so not a private bedroom.
Greeting text from owner gives a mobilie number to use for any questions or concerns but when I texted to that number I got no reply at all.
The position and decor are great, but the lack of genuine care for the guest lets the Portside Apartments down.

When a one night extension was requested ,the owners decided to charge extra without any explanation and deducted the funds from my credit card. BOTH email and text to the owners for a "please explain" and REFUND EXCESS CHARGES have been ignored . LOST ME GREEDY !

What a horrible experience I don’t know where to begin I guess with the unbearable heat and the options available to deal with this are 2 rickety old ceiling fans that seem to only have one mode which is slow so they do nothing and barely move the air around the room. The cheap portable fan that is bent and wants to fall over and again works very poorly. Option B is to open all the windows which would be great if they had latches and you could open them more than 10cm. There are no fly screens on the windows except in 1 bedroom so as you let in the air you also get a tsunami of bugs Q
Everything you need is here. Comfortable beds. Plenty of seating. Excellent view. Peaceful. Would like to see fly screens on all wi dows so you can open them for the breeze to flow through.
Great character to the building. Beautiful view and great location for walking through historical part of Maryborough. But you could here every single step of any person moving around in other units, especially at night time. Also the Federal Hotel had music blasting until 12.30am and it sounded like they were right outside the window.
Beautiful heritage building. Lovely location. I did find it difficult to contact the venue to enquire about late check in. And did leave several messages and still had to make contact again to try and get information. That said it is a lovely place.😊
We enjoyed the location as it overlooked the river and a pretty park.
The building’s history was great to find out about.
There was a relaxed and homely feel about the building.
Directions for entry were clear and allowed for an easy entry.
Gorgeous place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. Location is awesome with lots of things close by to see and do.
I was very disappointed when none of my text messages were replied to.
The apartment generous and comfortable with separate lounge and dining rooms. The building was an older style home but had lots of charm and character. There was a lovely view of the Mary River from the front verandah. I would stay here again without a doubt. The only minor improvement that could be made was somewhere to hang your clothes as there were no wardrobes.
This property had a lot of charm and was very sweet, but in winter was very cold as it lacked proper window fixtures along the dining room wall. Perhaps the bedding could be a bit heavier for winter ( I’m sure a summer stay would be better). Also across the road from a pub makes for a late loud Saturday night stay.
Loved the location. Cleaness. Beautiful place. Plenty of room. Beds were so comfortable. The children were over the moon with the amount of room they had to play in. Only down side was can hear people walking around up stairs and they probley hear us with a young baby....but thats old houses. Thank you for a great stay.
