Everything about Matamanoa Island was exceptional. The staff were attentive, the food was delicious and the staff also provided the entertainment singing to the guests each evening.
I stayed in a garden room which had ample space and with tea/coffee and milk provided along with complimentary toiletries I felt it represented good value for money.
There were trips available to other islands aling with snorkeling trips.
All in all very happy with the resort and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Beautiful, tranquil resort with a wonderful staff. Loved the room, food, pool and beach.

Great Fiji holiday destination
After staying three othe resorts some more expensive and some cheaper. This is a perfect balance of Fiji custom and location.
Great place to unwind for 5 days or more
Place has a lovely vibe and staff are so will ing to assist
My husband and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and working staff as well as some other guests became like family. The food was excellent.
We will definitely go back
We spent six nights on Matamanoa Island at the end of October and it was fantastic! From the staff who was always smiling, singing and happy to help you …to the food which was delicious and varied, and always hot …to the gorgeous accommodations of our oceanfront bure …to the pool and beach - It was fantastic. The only reason we don’t give it five stars is the sea birds that nest on the rocks by the oceanfront rooms starting at the end of October. They scream and howl all night, but that’s nothing that the resort can control and nothing that some earplugs can’t handle. This island really is a tiny bit of paradise in Fiji. The adults only policy means that it’s peaceful and there’s no gimmicky events going on at the pool during the day so you can really just sit and relax and have a drink or two. We highly recommend that anybody go!
Absolutely beautiful island. Fantastic staff, great snorkelling and we had the pleasure of staying in a beach front ocean view suite which was perfect. Bliss.
Paradise on earth. Very quiet and respectful of the environnent. Only improvement would be the food quality and options, other than that perfect score.

Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
The staff were all fabulous. We were initially not impressed with state of bathroom but this was promptly rectified and cleaning was good for the remaining days.
Our bure was fantastic- a few steps from the sand and it had great outdoor area with private plunge pool and day bed.
Breakfast and lunch menus stayed unchanged. They need to anticipate running out of some food items before it actually happens. Food at dinner was generally good and the menu changed daily.
Overall we very much enjoyed our stay.Recommend it for a very quiet lazy time.
For those looking for a quiet intimate experience, Matamanoa is excellent. Mostly couples both young and older. There a a few activities offered but mainly, this is a place to relax and enjoy your surroundings. Accommodation and food are great. Staff is freat.
Loved our stay at Matamanoa - beautiful location, stunning beach, beautiful, well appointed bures, good snorkelling off the beach, stunning sunsets. The food was good , ample servings but could be improved with more fresh salads and fresh vegetables. The staff are absolutely wonderful and could not do enough for us. We will be back to this little piece of paradise. Bula Vinaka, Sota Tale
We absolutely LOVED our time at Matamanoa! The island feels like paradise! It felt like an intimate luxury experience with kind, lovely staff! The snorkeling was the best we’ve ever done, right in front of the resort. The resort and grounds are breathtaking! We loved everything about this resort, we wish we could have stayed longer! 3 nights was wonderful but we could have stayed a week!
Not the resort’s fault, but we planned our own travel and didn’t realize it is a bit tricky to get from the mamanuca islands to yasawa islands (so just check ferry schedule first) without returning to the port if you are planning on your own.
