"The place was gorgeous. The rooms were big and bright. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was great. Shower was great. Parking was available but when the main lot is full, the secondary lot is a bit of a walk. There are lots of extra rooms in which you could gather with friends or just hang out. While there was an elevator, we used the stairs as they were very wide. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the lady who was there the two days we ate there, was so nice, even though there was a language barrier. The place had so much character. The walk to the main town was quite a challenge. There are 197 steps from the exit on the 7th floor. We did it several times during our two night stay. There is a self serve bar that opens after the restaurant closes. You just complete a form with your room number and the types and amount of drinks you consumed. Prices were fair. Would stay here again without hesitation."

"The location couldn't have been more convenient and fun. The hotel faces the iconic "corner" in Rothenburg that everyone photographs, but it didn't cause any issues getting in or out of the hotel or cause any extra street noise. The hotel itself is quaint and a little worn around the edges, but that only adds to the charm. It was comfortable and offered all that guests need. The hotel has begun upgrading the rooms to make them more modern, but I'd still opt for the room with Bavarian charm even if the shower might be smaller. The fun of staying at the hotel was the feeling that you were in Bavaria and not a chain hotel. The staff was helpful and friendly, the breakfast was delicious, and the official restaurant provided a very nice menu. I'd book this hotel again."

The hotel was clean and the room was spacious and well decorated and equipped with everything you would need. The hotel staff were very friendly and super helpful. "The self check-in was stressful. I wasn't advised I'd need a QR code to enter the hotel. The 2 numbered codes I had didn't work. There wasn't a phone number or phone to call for assistance. I eventually found it. Room was comfortable but could use new pillows and towels. Breakfast was fine and the gentleman providing the service was lovely."

"Great hotel in a great location for easy walking into Rothenburg. Free parking which is always a bonus. Nice big room, only slight downside for me was the bed was a bit too firm, but that’s just personal preference. Breakfast was lovely with lots of variety. Big shout out to Katherine, lovely receptionist who was funny, super friendly and made us feel very welcome. As is the way in Germany, you don’t get tea making facilities in your room, but Katherine happily made a flask of hot water, provided tea and milk at no extra charge. Thank you for making our stay so memorable, we would definitely return xx"
