"Aristieta is located in a beautiful, quiet, bucolic area of Kanpantxu, near Gernika. It is part of an organic farmstead operated by Alex and his wife, the hosts. Their home and farmhouse has been lovingly restored by their family and friends and is a unique property in every sense of the word. We enjoyed our stay very much, and especially, our spacious room with a magnificent view of the surroundings. The breakfasts were simple and tasty. Coffee was great! "Good location in the centre of Guernica near bars and tourist office. Room was pretty basic but adequate. Good, hot shower. The bottle of water and tea making facility was a nice touch. Biggest issue was the check-in hassle. There is a note on the door to check-in at the bar next door....but the bar was shut. There were several numbers stuck on the bar windows but it wasn't clear which to use and there was no answer initially. Given my phone was nearly flat, it was a big stress I really didn't...

"The view from the terrace (in our room) was absolutely amazing! Location is perfect, parking was right there and very convenient. The staff was so helpful, when we had to leave early in the morning and didn't have time for breakfast, they packed it so that we could take it with us! And the breakfast was excellent too! Very strongly recommend this place"

"The building is beautiful from the outside, but it is in desperate need of maintenance and renovation on the inside. The only positive aspects of my stay were the breakfast buffet, which was excellent, and the housekeeping staff. The cleaning team did an outstanding job and kept the rooms clean and well maintained throughout my stay. Overall, despite a few positive points, I would not consider this a true four-star hotel and would not choose to stay here again."

"Absolutely wonderful stay! My fear when I stay in the area is always humidity/musty rooms… but in Ixua there’s no sign of anything less than pristine. It all looks, feels and is clean. The rooms are extremely comfortable. The views are well… worth everything. The food and service absolutely amazing. Thank you Roberto and Munya."
