We’ve stayed at El Capitan three times now. The first time was terrible due to a dog in the next room that barked incessantly. The last two times have been wonderful. I’m disappointed they changed the coffee in the room, though. They should go back to the pour over.

Nice hotel. Clean and very friendly. Only thing is the walls a very thin so if your a light sleeper bring ear plugs you can hear your neighbors conversations and the cars driving by the building.

A hotel employee opened my door and entered my room in the afternoon while I was in the bathroom, violating my privacy. When I returned to the hotel after a night out, there was no place for me to park my car for the valet. I had to stop my car in the middle of the street and double park, which was dangerous. After checking out of the hotel, the following morning, I waited almost 30 minutes to get my car back. The girl working the front desk at the time was hardly apologetic. This was my second time staying at the El Capitan. I enjoyed my first stay. I was very disappointed with the second. The building itself is quite nice and the rooms comfortable, but the hotel staff needs to be trained better. They came across as quite unprofessional to me this time around. I would not stay there again. For what they charge for rooms, I was expecting excellent service.
