"We stayed at the Carriage House Inn in Newport and felt like we got a great deal....likely because we booked the day before. We arrived on a Friday night around 9pm and were greeted by a very kind staff member at the door, which set a nice tone right away. The room was absolutely worth the price. This is a historic house, and you can feel that charm throughout... it’s one of the older homes in Newport, but in a good way. Our room was simple and comfortable with a king bed, private bathroom, microwave, mini fridge, and a TV that worked perfectly. Everything we needed for a one-night stay. The location was ideal and made it easy to walk or quickly get where we wanted to go. Staff was friendly and helpful during our stay. We didn’t try breakfast because we had plans to line up early elsewhere for cinnamon rolls, but this spot was perfect for waking up, heading out, and starting the day. If you’re looking for a well-priced, well-located place with historic character, this was a solid choice."
