"I loved the history of the lodge and how charming the property and the grounds are! I loved how the property has been taken care of with so much love and passed down from generations in a family. Desma and John made the place feel homey and was able to keep it's historical elements to it while adding some modern touches to make it more comfortable for the guest. "Perfect choice for an active and enquiring grand child. The hosts involved the children in the morning feeding schedule with the donkeys, alpacas, the goat Princess Mary and the long horn Highland cattle along with explaining interesting characteristics. A stroll with the dogs around the property on a crisp morning and visit the horses. There was plenty of space to run, specially made climbing equipment and inside activities at the barbecue hut.
