"The building is beautiful and for those arriving on the gorgeous old train, it overlooks the terminal station. The restaurant is great, and the outdoor grill smells wonderful. The family that runs it spoke fluent English and were warmly welcoming but left us alone when they realized we aren't chatty. The breakfast (9 euros) was delicious, with homemade apple cake. "This review is not about the property. I'm sure it would have been delightful if we were able to go. This review is about Expedia. Sadly our timing was during a natural disaster of severe storm Daniel and the area becoming highly destroyed. I attempted to contact Expedia to discuss the issue for a rebooking somewhere else via something other than their virtual chat, as that was not working. There was no other means of communicating with Expedia that was offered in order to address this issue. It would be my expectation that Expedia would be aware of various natural disasters taking place around the properties they are promoting. Expedia not once reach out to us to let us know that this would have been an issue."
