Mission San Francisco de Asís Tours

Mission San Francisco de Asís was founded 29 June 1776 by Padre Francisco Palóu and Padre Pedro Benito Cambón. The mission is named for Saint Francis of Assisi. The current site was picked in 1782 because of the harsh conditions at the original mission. It is considered to be the oldest intact building in San Francisco.
