The Taoya Hotel is exceptional. After hiking the Nakasendo trail, we enjoyed a spectacular Japanese and Western buffet. There was sake, beer, and wine included. After dinner we soaked in the onsen and relaxed our tired muscles. The onsen had a cherry blossom tree in full bloom for us to view. You should definitely go there.

What a great find! Everything was outstanding: from check in to check out: super friendly and helpful staff, spotless place, very well organised, great food, plentiful breakfast,… I wish I had booked for an extra night. The whole family loved it!

It was within comfortable walking distance from
INAKITA station. It was the only available closest hotel when i booked for a last minute trip here a few days before. I found a familiar restaurant, SUKIYA nearby where I had my delicious lunch. Happen to stumble upon a cosy McDonald’s when I was exploring the area near Ina park where the cherry blossoms were in full bloom! There is a direct bus to the Takato Castle Ruins at Inakita Station. See the bus timing chart. Hotel was like a resort with a very nice public bath. The room is spacious, comfy with the usual Japanese standard toilet & bath.

"Clean room! Staff were great! Their spa is sort of tattoo friendly. They will allow tattooed people into their spa area as long as it’s covered. We brought our own tattoo patches to use but they also have them for sale 220 yen per patch."
