The staff is great. We usually start our vacation in Mvd and this is a great location to walk around, shop, eat and sit in the rambla. Felt safe, well lit entrance and great breakfast. Hotel recently removed rugs improving the appearance.

It's good location but the streets around are dirty garbage collection bins are not used people throw the garbage around them. Many many homeless people sleeping on the street bad street light. I did not feel unsafe but my parter did. The hotel is old but kept clen the ac worked in the room but the fan was not able to swing. When we arrived no conditioner in the bathroom and we asked but the staff could not help until next day. The parking is across the main entrance is US $ 15 per night. It is at the 4th level and if you are not comfortable driving in thight curves and dark spaces you might need to ask for help. You could park on the street but is at risk. The breakfast buffet is amazingly good is all worthwhile to pay the extra. So yes is a good hotel to stay. Is Montevideo that disappointed me dirty gafity not clean. Sorry Tony sorry

Internet connection was horrible. They changed our room because of that but still the connection was unstable so much that we left the hotel one day early although we had paid for the next day. I find it unacceptable that in 2024 the Internet is not working properly.

Room 802

The problem I had in this hotel was I had no WiFi in my room. I brought it to their attention and they said it was fixed. This was the beginning. I brought it to their attention at least 6 times during my 1 night stay. Always they said it fixed or will check it. Anytime I needed WiFi I had to go down to reception to get a signal. This was many many times. Never once did they offer to change my room. Never once did anyone in this hotel apologize to me for my inconvenience. Not once. They pretend there is no problem. If you need WiFi. Do not stay in room 802. At first the signal is weak then in 3 minutes you have nothing. Again room 802 has no WiFi. Pure incompetence. I would like to finally get an apology.

Bom custo benefício

O quarto fica no 6 andar. O elevador é pequeno. A cama do quarto é boa, o ar condicionado funciona bem, porém a porta do banheiro não tranca e o box do banheiro não fecha, então molha muito fora. As toalhas são manchadas e algumas tem furos. O quarto e banheiro necessitam de reforma. O café da manhã é bom, serviram ovos, salada de frutas muito boa. O estacionamento do hotel terceirizado, fica quase em frente ao hotel e é no 4 andar, então são vários lances de escada até chegar lá, se tiver alguma limitação de locomoção não é uma boa, pois são vários degraus pra subir. O hotel é bem localizado, da uns 15 minutos a pé até a cidade vieja e tranquilo pra se deslocar de ônibus.

OXFORD, um bom hotel

O atendimento no hotel é muito bom, inclusive quero deixar registrado o quanto o Gabriel é simpático e atencioso com os hóspedes. Achei o café da manhã somente razoável, já que as opções eram praticamente as mesmas todos os dias. Nas intermediações do hotel há pizzaria, Mc Donald, etc, além de ótimos restaurantes como o El Fogon e o Charruá. Além disso, o centro histórico pode ser acessado facilmente a pé. Durante minha estadia, o elevador principal apresentou defeito, mas foi arrumado rapidamente. Enquanto isso, usamos o de serviço. O quarto e o chuveiro eram ótimos. Existem regiões mais bonitas na cidade, mas para quem quer se hospedar na região central, o Oxford é uma boa opção.
