“Brand new hotel with a nice ambience. However not a fan of open plan hotel room as in no door or wall for the bathroom. The shower cubicle and the toilet cubicle each have a frosted glass door but that’s all. The “wardrobe” is open area hanging rack. The roof top pool is nice but woefully small area for the size of the hotel. Bar area on level 12 is really nice. Watermelon and goats cheese salad is excellent.”

“Need to have bath towels replaced when needed toilet paper needs to be replaced garbage bags need to be able get from hotel.”

“Room recently renovated so all new amenities in our apartment. Location is excellent , close to beach, surf club and shopping strip. Just a small downfall was traffic noise during the night. There are road works happening at the moment.”

“Room was clean and comfortable and met all of our needs. But we took the cheapest room available which was a mistake. Our room's balcony overlooked Brisbane Rd. Very noisy and we didn't spend any time on the balcony. Pay the extra few dollars and get a room with a pool view or garden view. They will be much less noisy”

“The ocean view from the room was amazing. We could even see the sunrise from the room in the morning, which was absolutely beautiful. The hotel was only about a one-minute walk to the beach, making the location perfect. The swimming pool was also very clean and lovely. It was one of the best places we have stayed. They also upgraded our room, and we were able to use the rooftop, which made our stay even more enjoyable.”

“Wonderfully helpful and friendly staff, great location and the pool was nice. Our apartment was well equipped, however it needs a bit of a deep clean as it does have a bit of a smell. The roller blinds have some mould spots on them, the couch cushions were a bit smelly & there was a bit of cobweb on the wall and ceiling in one of the rooms. ”

“Throughly enjoyed our stay at Mandolin. We had an ocean view so we had sun all day. The pool was a great temperature for a QLD winter and the spa and children’s pool were fabulous. The onsite managers and reception were responsive to our needs and pleasant to deal with. The bed was amazingly comfortable which you often don’t get when on holiday. Whilst the decor was a little dated, it was clean and had most of what we needed. We could eat out or cook in the fully self-contained kitchen. Situated...

“Initial room allocated for week stay did not have views as had been advertised in promotional photos for 2 bedroom ocean view apartment. Requested a change and was put in a privately owned apartment in complex - condition of room (furniture etc) slightly poorer, but views were spot on.”
