Coral snorkeling and kayaking in our backyard!
My wife and I very much enjoyed spending our few nights here at this very convenient location. Erik the property manager was extremely attentive and even called us when we left to let us know that we had forgotten a few items and met us so that we could come back and retrieve them. He went above and beyond with hospitality! We were grateful that the bedroom had an air conditioning unit which kept us comfortable at night while we slept. And the location is extremely convenient to get to local shopping, the beautiful Tamae beach, and Cooks Bay. This was our first of three accommodations on Moorea and Bora Bora, and it was so magical at this location to be able to walk right out into the backyard into the lagoon and start snorkeling amongst large coral heads teaming with fish just a two minute swim from the house. We ran out of energy before we ran out of coral to look at! We hired charters and snorkeled several times in locations around the island and in Bora Bora, but almost everything we saw right from our backyard is the same thing we saw everywhere else! So if you want a convenient place to stay with excellent hospitality, and beautiful coral to see and swim around with all the life that is abundant, you will be happy here! Are there any negatives? Its is near the road so you can hear some road noise in the evening. The view from the porch is pretty but you do have to walk 50 feet to see the ocean and the mountains. Our other place on Moorea had a very spectacular from the porch, but you could go swimming at that place without getting in the car and going somewhere. Here you could snorkel all day, and with the free kayaks available to you you could literally explore miles of lagoon if you had the energy! The views from the lagoon looking up at the island were front he kayaks were incredible! I would be happy to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone reading this. This is a perfect place to stay and enjoy all French Polynesia has to offer without the high costs of a luxury hotel.
