Mount Rainier is crowned by it's many glaciers. Since we had just returned from an Alaskan cruise, I commented to my husband that we didn't need to go all the way to Alaska to see glaciers and the beauty of the mountains on our next trip with our grandchildren.
Visit Sunrise Point, Stevens Canyon (grove of the patriarchs) and Crystal Mountain and ride gondola to top of resort.
We were in the park on a day when you could see the mountain but the next day the smoke from th he BC fires had socked the mountain in and views were non existent.

So big they created a national park in its name, Mount Rainier’s massive snow-capped volcanic cone is clearly visible from Seattle.

Explore the great outdoors at Henry Jackson Visitor Center, a lovely green space in Paradise. Discover the mountain views while you're in the area.

You can take time to visit Paradise Loop during your travels to Paradise. While you're in the area, wander around the natural setting.

If you're lucky, a rainbow will stretch across the tiers of this scenic waterfall next to the highway. Climb up the adjacent nature trail.

After visiting Sunrise Visitor Center, make a plan to see the other sights and activities in Sunrise.

You can spend time browsing the exhibits at Longmire Museum during your travels in Longmire. While you're in the area, wander around the natural setting.
