Excellent location. Fun small local hotel.

Great stay. Very luxurious , innkeeper had thought of everything. Great bed, great breakfast. Wished we had planned to stay longer.

This place is 110+ years old and really a delight to stay in because they haven't changed things very much. Gives you a snapshot of how hotels operated a century ago.

We were made to feel very welcome. Cookies on the table and coffee delivered when we arrived. wonderful room and breakfast was fantastic. We will go back to stay again. Friendly staff

We got a room overlooking the river and garden. The room was very nice and updated. It came with a refrigerator and microwave, which is always handy to have. Easy access to the room from the parking lot. The view was beautiful. You can ask for a non-pets room if you are severely allergic. We didn't know this, and we both have some allergies, but the room was clean and we didn't notice it at all (assuming pets had been in the room).

Nice clean cottage would stay there again.

Had a great experience staying here. Facilities and room were very clean, staff was polite, knowledgeable, and helpful. The breakfast is amazing and the view of the river is breathtaking. Looking forward to staying here again.

We loved the isolation and to be able to disconnect from our busy lives. It was very quiet and peaceful. You don’t notice your neighbors and everyone is very respectful of each other. The views of Mt. Adams were awesome. We explored the area and did some hikes. We cooked breakfast and dinner over the fire every day and enjoyed s’mores every night. There are not a lot of dining options in the area but if you are there for isolation, peace and quiet, and time in nature then it is a great...

The check-in process was quick and the staff was very friendly and professional. Our room was clean and the temperature in the room was right where we wanted it to be. The breakfast far exceeded our expectations and was amazing. The staff member that was in charge of the breakfast was friendly and he offered to make us things that they were out of even though it was close to the end of breakfast. He also apologized for things taking a bit to be refilled/restocked as he was the only one working...

I was so excited to stay here. We only got one night because it was booked all other nights but MAN I FELL IN LOVE. If you're considering booking here, don't even bother reading the rest of this review until your reservation is complete. Then come back and read more ;) But seriously, check in was strict at 3, no early checkin which was fine. Location location. This property has such an outstanding view of river, dam, city scape and sunset that it becomes a destination in itself. Comfort bed in nice room with said view. Small breakfast nook with standard continental breakfast fare. Outside seating area with great views. Driveway potholed and jarring. This likely keeps speeds down to the benefit of the homes along the down hill side
