"My stay was lovely the room needed a bit of tlc but bed was really comfortable and room was cleaned. Staff were very attentive and friendly nothing was too much trouble. This is my second stay in a couple of years and would almost definitely book again. The lift was being refurbished but was notified of this in ample time that I could have cancelled my stay but as this was not a problem for myself to climb the stairs I continued with my booking.

"The window lock was broken and couldn't open, the toilet seat was loose, the chair has a screw came off and not balance, no fridge for storing cold drink, the facilities didn't mention the age limit so we couldn't go to the sana room as planned when we booked it. "
"Beautiful location. Straightforward to locate and ample parking, which was great. Warm welcome and easy check-in. Room was very hot (radiators work well!); helpful assistance provided to turn radiators off. Room was clean, bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately power outage (while I was asleep) meant TV turned itself on in the night! Lovely to have tea, coffee and a small biscuit. Would have been wonderful if there were a bottle of water, though this was offered on check out fire the drive home, which was a thoughtful gesture. Would definitely re-visit - thank you for a great stay."
"I wouldn’t say the room was the cleanest, I dropped something from my case which went under the bed and oooh that hadn’t been done for a while !
I was given an access room at street level, but it was noisy, both from above and outside.
My 2nd night required earplugs to be worn to get to sleep. "
"Our rooms had a lovely ( unexpected) sea view but as I found out on arrival, most if not all rooms, (other than accessibility/disability rooms) have a shower over the bath, so it wasn’t ideal for my 84yr old mother who doesn’t require an accessible room as she doesn’t have any disabilities or restrictions per se but can’t climb into the bath to take a shower.
It is very unusual for a hotel these days to have baths in every room but the hotel was fully booked for a conference so unfortunately there was no option to change rooms to an accessible room for her.
The restaurant was closed for a function the night we arrived, This was a Monday night in a small seaside town at the beginning of March so I wasn’t hopeful - but we found 3 great places to eat within a few mins walk. A really lovely seaside cafe/restaurant, an Indian and an American/Mexican type restaurant.
The hotel was clean, staff were lovely and it was ideal for our stay. Don’t be put off by the 1970’s exterior.
We didn’t go further than the seafront so not sure about a ‘town’ but there are retail parks nearby. "
