Beautiful hotel, rooms are spacious and comfortable. Sauna was a huge plus. Happy hour paid off for us, we love a deal. Hotel is located in just the right spot.

This is an excellent property- great staff, great breakfast and we also enjoyed dinner in the restaurant which was very good as well. Very clean room as well. My only complaint is that we were not told up front that the food and beverage credit / discount was not good for alcohol- only soft drinks and food. But it was still a good discount and we enjoyed the stay very much.

Pretty hotel but the room design is not very optimized. Breakfast repetitive and limited. Dinner very expensive and not on the par of the price. Sister hotel at glacier lagoon was much better with better restaurant service and menu

We stayed at two Fosshotels: Myvatn and Glacier Lagoon. Both were lovely, great designs/ space. And there's laundry on site, a small bag for 49,000 ISK, which was great as we were on the 2nd week of our trip. We were a bit disappointed that they didn't provide slippers but overall wonderful 3 night stay. They also provided courtesy northern lights wake up calls.

The highlight of my stay was the hotel's breathtaking view, especially from the dining area. Watching the sun set over Lake Mývatn  was truly unforgettable. The room was exceptionally clean and well maintained, making for a very comfortable stay.

We mostly enjoyed our 1 night stay at the hotel, but I could not get much sleep due to the ac/heat unit in the room making very loud banging/gurgling noises in the sink ?through the night whenever it kicked on, ended up having to shut it off and sleep hot (we are from Florida and prefer to sleep cold) . Could have opened the window , but then the midges come in. The sauna is very nice. Gorgeous views of the area.

A cozy, scenic haven from the elements! We only spent one night at Fosshótel Mývatn, but it was exactly what we needed to recharge. We enjoyed a fantastic, comforting dinner at the hotel restaurant while sheltering from the weather. It rained during our stay, but our room featured a stunning waterfall view that looked beautifully dramatic against the moody skies. While the hotel offers a great on-site hot tubs and sauna to warm up in, we actually skipped it since we spent our time soaking at the spectacular Earth Lagoon nearby instead! The beds were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring we were perfectly well-rested. A spectacular high-end pitstop on the Ring Road.

3rd time we have stayed here. One of our all time favorite hotels. Lake view rooms are amazing. Lake view dining is a must. Usually fet to see sheep wondering by the dining area or parking lot. All around lovely experience and we will continue to stay here every time we are in the north of Iceland.

We really liked this hotel - clean, modern, nice! The downfall was the bugs, they swarm you when you step out of the car until you walk in the hotel door. We had a door with a small patio but didn’t use it because of the bugs. Other than that room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Great location for exploring but the whole area there has the bug swarms.
